I got in the habit of not tying the front and back of my kayak because I fished at a local lake. As I expanded my range I knew I needed to secure my kayak better. I used these straps years ago with a canoe I owned and they are very good.

Good strong tie downs that cinch the ends of your canoe down to the front or back of the vehicle. these are NOT to be confused with the straps you'll need around the center of the canoe.

Tried other tie downs and this one is by far the easiest to use. Very secure, easy to stow, easy to tighten and to release love them.

This is perfect for tying my kayak down to my car. I have no rack and I just use pool noodles and these guys are easy to tighten to keep my boat in place. They fit perfectly in the tow rings under my car.

Needed new tie-downs for the pickup to replace dead bungies. These do the trick whether I'm taking yard waste to get recycled, transporting mower to cut grass for relative or stabilising shifty loads from the home n garden store. Non-marking, easy to tighten up on odd shapes, roll up compactly for in truck storage.

I have used NRS HD Tie Down straps for over 30 years, both as a professional guide and as a recreational boater and all around hauler of things. They have always been high quality and easy to use. These J-hook straps are no exception. They are well made and easy to adjust and a welcome addition to my collection of NRS straps. Not only are they handy for securing boats to vehicles or trailers, they are also great for securing any type of load. They are easier to use than some ratchet-type straps and do a great job of securing the load. I highly recommend them!

I use these not only to hang my kayak in the garage but I have them available if I need to tie down something on any of my boats. I like them much better than the ratchet type because they don't jam up. They buckles on these are smooth and the webbing is good quality. I bought these for hanging the kayak in the garage and now I need two more to hang another boat. I will get these same ones for sure.

I transport my tandem kayak on a small trailer with tie-down attachment points under the boat near the ground. Most tie-down straps have a very short strap on their buckle side. That's convenient for car-topping, but for my rig it puts the buckle in a hard-to-reach position under my trailer. The long strap on the buckle side of this NRS model puts the buckle on top of the kayak where it's easy to reach and adjust.

I use this two ways, I use it as a tie down kit for my canoe, and also use it as an additional method to secure my canoe to the ceiling once I'm done using it!

Great for mounting kayaks on top of cars, especially if you don't have a roof rack. I use this product to help mount my kayak on my Honda Accord, which doesn't have a roof rack. This product was much better than a prior one in which the hooks you had to slip on the tie-down strap and it didn't grip as strong and as sustained as this strap. Well worth the money!

I mainly use the product to attach my kayak to the roof mount on my Jeep. However, it can be used as a general purpose Tie-Down. It is VERY useful!!

I use these straps for a 17' sea kayak on a Subaru wagon and a Nissan SUV. The straps are long enough with a bit extra to spare. This hook style is better than looping around with the standard web strap to tie down to vehicles.
