I have both types of belts, this and a 2" web. I thought I wouldn't be able to put my harness on this mesh belt, but it fits fine.

Our BC's have intergral weight pouches, so we only use these in the pool. They stay out in the sun almost all year and we get about 5 years of use out of them. They do get used a lot. on our second set already.

I bought this to go Abalone diving off the coast of Northern California. Worked great and did not have any issues with it. Got my limit of 3 Ab's.

I bought two of the seven pocket type (the largest) weight belts and with gloves on, there is not enough "extra" length to easily cinch it on a 36 inch waist and a 7 mm wetsuit (~5"). The other person found only about 2" to grab and tighten it. Wish they had more generous lengths. Other than that, they were well made.

Solid construction with heavy duty zipper. Wanted the yellow color so I can find it if I have to ditch it. I prefer a weight belt over integrated weight bags.

I purchased this to use instead of putting weights into my BCD pockets in order to lighten my walking load. I found the buckle to be difficult to use and assume that because it's cheap plastic it will not last very long. I chose to get a different brand with a metal buckle.

bought for my son, mesh ripped at the seam on the third dive. May have just gotten one with a flaw. Decided to go with weight integration.

big improvement to the old style weight belts, both my wetsuit and skin appreciate it.

An average weight belt, not superb, not substandard. It is more comfortable than a traditional belt, and it allowed me to add more weight than wanted to add to my integrated BCD when diving in a 7mm Farmer John in fresh water. Not much more to say.

This is a great weight belt for free diving, it keeps you very streamline. Also, I used this in gear removal demonstration and it was very helpful and comfortable to wear under my BCD that is weight integrated.

Very poor quality belt. After 10 dives the the pockets started to fall apart. If you buy this belt have plenty of duct tape with you because you are going to have to wrap the belt in tape to keep the weights from falling out. Its worth spending a little more money to get a better belt.

Used to eliminate solid-weight contact. My wife complained about sore/bruised hips. Huge success!! So much so that it now goes on vacations with the integrated BCD. This allows better distribution of weights depending upon wetsuit used. Thick wetsuits demand too much integrated weight. Also used when we volunteer dive at local Aquarium Exhibits for 1.5-hour dives feeding & cleaning. Soft weight bags fit best into pockets. Solid weights need caution when closing zipper, as pockets are tight with large solid weight block. Both my wife and myself use the 4 pocket small on 32-33 inch waist.

this product has worked well on all my dives so far I like being able to mix my weight types and have an extra pocket for storage. I put a shell I found in one pocket and a dropped flashlight in another.

Ive had 2 of these belts now, the last one lasted less than 3 months, the stitching comes undone and ive lost 10 pounds of weights so far.

Mind you this is a great product. I like the fact I can just slip the weights in the pocket, zip and go. However, I used molded weights and they have begun to tear at the pockets. The pocket material could be denser. I suggest using weight pouches.

Great price for this belt. I've priced others at $60. The velcro close belts tend to rip and fray! And you get two added clip rings.

Lightweight for travel providing more comfort than a standard strap type belt.Allows use of soft weights

i dive warm water only. this is a good belt for recreational diving. i would have prefered to have the mesh on both sides of the belt to save weight and drying, but still a good unit.

Great belt, works just as it should. Zipper sticks sometimes, but no big deal.

I have the four pocket version and carry 20 lbs of shot bags while ab diving. The small clip at the side was useful for hanging my fins while walking to an entry point and up and down rocky shores, but tore off after only a few uses. I probably only used it 6 days each year. After a few years it still functions, but some of the seams are opening on the weight pockets. Also the plastic mesh material is slippery so it tends to rotate when you don't want it to, and moves on your waist when diving and aescending. The wearing issue is understandable to the amount of stress it takes, but the slipping and sliding is annoying when you need to be concentrating on other things.

Arrived very quickly (good news) BUT this was NOT the configuration and color I expected (see product comments) BUT LP didn't want to cover RMA for shipping since the size was not the issue.

Great weight belt systems for the new diver, the experienced diver, and for training. Add or subtract weight quickly and easily with zippered and strong Cordura mesh backed self-draining pockets. Makes it ideal for travel, only bring the belt and you have a comfortable and quick assembled weight belt on hand, no need to fumble with threading a conventional webbing belt. Weights won't shift like on a webbing belt either! Belt also has two attachment points for accessories a D-ring and gate snap clip. Belt uses an impact resistant plastic and corrosion proof buckle.
Belts will accept hard block or soft weight shot pouches. The belts pockets are sewn directly to 2" (5 cm) nylon webbing and is available in 4 weight capacities and waist sizes. The 4-pocket belt fits waist sizes from 23" to 31" (58 4 to 78 7 cm), 5-pocket belt fits waist sizes from 29" to 38" (73 7 to 96 5 cm), 6-pocket belt fits waist sizes 34" to 43" (86 4 to 109 2 cm) and the 7-pocket belt fits waist sizes 39" to 48" (99 to 122 cm).
