Used OMS Smart Stream Reel 400'

In the early days of cave diving, reels were not available to buy off the shelf. Divers used anything they could, including empty electrical wire spools. When exploring, divers would pay out the line and if they didn't empty the spool it would be left in the cave for the next dive. The OMS Smart Stream Reel has an adjustable soft handle, compact shape, comes with #36 red nylon line. The reel has a body made of glass fiber reinforced nylon and is available in 250' and 400' (76 and 122 meter) versions. A quick quarter turn locks the reel in the open or closed position. It is also possible to disassemble the reel for cleaning. Reel includes a 3.5" (8.8cm) stainless-steel OMS Big Grip double-ender gate clip. Reel is 5" (12.7cm) in diameter and less than 2" (5cm) wide for the 250' (76 meter) version, approximately 3.75 (9.53cm) wide for the 400' (122 meter).
