The very low vehicle weight of the SEABOB F5S and SEABOB F5 scuba diving scooters is one of their standout features. These watercrafts tip the scales at 75 lbs (34 kg) and 64 lbs (29 kg), respectively. Thanks to their low weight, the F5S and F5 scooters achieve optimum handling in various situations.

The F5S has a strong propulsive force of 152.9 lbs (69.3 kg), while the F5 boasts a propulsive force of 108 lbs (49 kg). Environmentally-friendly Technology
Besides their lightweight design and strong propulsive force, SEABOB F5S and F5 water sleds feature a specially developed, high-performance electric-drive mechanism. This motor boasts environmentally-friendly technology, making it an excellent innovation.
The motor on the F5S and F5 scooters is a synchronized drive unit with high torque. It also features a three-phase sinus power management system that’s controlled by a microprocessor. This mechanism is very efficient at achieving the perfect amount of torque since it uses cutting-edge technology. Despite having these innovations, both models still have an extremely portable design.
To complement the motor, F5S and F5 underwater sleds boast very efficient lithium-manganese accumulators. These high-quality parts supply the necessary power to the motor. Both water scooters also use the worldwide patented E-Jet Power System—a system that works in line with the principle of water displacement.
E-Jet uses a powerfully rotating impeller that draws water into the scooters and forces it out in the channel under high pressure. The method produces thrust that gives the F5S and F5 a greater push forward in the water. E-Jet is unique since it needs less energy to create the highest possible thrust underwater. Its electro-technology also makes the system totally eco-friendly with less operating costs.
Two Power Level Ranges for an Exciting Ride
To make your rides more thrilling, the F5S and F5 scooters use different E-Jet power levels. You can control the system in six power levels if you’re getting the F5S. Thanks to these gears, you can easily glide along the water while you’re using a low gear or switch to sixth gear for faster, more ambitious driving.
But if you’ve got your eyes on the F5, do keep in mind that you can control its E-Jet system in four power levels. These levels make F5S and F5 scooters sporty and ensure a totally fun, delightful ride.
Excellent Surface & Underwater Performance
The F5S and F5 are impressively agile in the water due to their hydrodynamic design. The high performance and low power-to-weight ratio of the SEABOB F5S and F5 water sleds produce this unique dynamism.
Both dive scooters also boast exceptional handling, which is why they’re ideal for use in any aquatic environment. The F5S and F5 are at home in the sea—but they’ll also suit small and large pool complex use. You can drive the F5S at up to 12.4 mph (20 km/h) on the surface and 11.2 mph (18 km/h) underwater for an hour with the scooter’s E-Jet system. F5S scooters can also go down to 130 feet (40 meters).
As for the F5 scooter, its E-Jet system offers up to 8.7 mph (14 km/h) on the surface and 8 mph (13 km/h) underwater for a 50-minute ride. The F5 has the same maximum depth as the F5S at 130 feet (40 meters). Plus, you can use the onboard electronics on both F5S and F5 scooters to set your desired diving depths (these depths can reach up to 40 meters).
Simple Steering & Advanced Controls
F5S and F5 scooters make steering and diving easier: you just need to shift your body weight so you can start gliding along the water. Meanwhile, light pressure on the scooters lets you steer them down into different water depths. You’ll have to use dual intelligent Controlgrips with Piezo technology as you steer.
A squeeze of the trigger on the F5S and F5 turns their motor on, while light pressure on the green sensor allows the motor to produce continuous powerful thrusts so the scooters can speed up. The function will last until you get the speed you want.
What’s more, pressing the red sensor helps F5S and F5 sleds create less propulsion which slows them down. You can also release the trigger to quickly stop the scooters. F5S and F5 underwater sleds have two more Piezo buttons: you can program an individual data menu using these buttons. The menu lets you set diving depth, operation time, and more parameters.
Colorful Cockpit
The SEABOB F5S and F5 also feature a central cockpit that sits directly in your field of vision. It features a TFT color display that accurately shows all the necessary technical data from the engine. This data includes current driving performance and power levels.
Both scooters display accumulator charge state and remaining operating time for reliable tracking of residual capacity. The cockpit gives you updated diving depth and water temperature data. As a bonus, you can easily control the scooter menu via the cockpit’s TFT display.
