SCUBA diving could not be facilitated without the use of a BCD, or buoyancy compensation device. This device is basically your lifeline, allowing you to attain the correct buoyancy above and below the surface. Although it should never be used exclusively to determine your buoyancy, it does help you make little corrections throughout the dive if you are under or over weighted, or as your tank becomes lighter as you use your air. Such an integral piece of lifesaving gear must go through an intensive process to be made, and this video takes you through each step that must be taken in the incredibly detailed construction in order for it to make it to your dive shop.
