Hollis DX 300X Dry Suits with Neoprene Socks Medium

Durable and decent suit. Fit is a bit wonky. Mine is a 3XL. Very long in the legs, arms and torso with a lot of excess material but fits me well across and around the shoulders, chest, arms, calves and thighs. Any smaller size would be too tight but the width to length / height ratio seems off. This thing would fit someone seven feet tall but the one that fits someone my height is too small girth-wise. You have to be seven feet tall to have a chest? But that is probably a me problem and I should have gone made to measure. I'm 6" 1", 235 pounds, 35" waist, 50" chest, athletic build. Very durable. Over 100 dives, in and out of rusty wrecks and over rocks, no leaks and still looks like new. No visible wear from the harness shoulder and crotch straps. Now for the "but". The pockets have Velcro on the sides and bottom that keeps them streamlined. in other words, keeps them flat to the suit. Bad idea. This makes getting things in and out of the pockets difficult. Once you pry it open on dry land and load it, the pocket collapses, Velcroing itself and trapping your spool, DSMB, note book, spare mask etc. making it hard to remove those items. Once you get an item out, the pocket collapses even further and re-Velcro's itself collapsed, flat against the suit making it difficult to impossible to get anything back in. I took my hot iron and melted the "hook" part of the hook and loop Velcro to prevent this from occurring. Pockets are also too far back and are positioned almost on the side of the buttocks making it difficult to reach or nearly impossible to reach on the left side if you have a deco tank or two on the left side. Think about it folks. Where are the pockets on your ordinary pants? Towards the front. Not on all the way back around on your side. Admittedly on a dry suit they cannot be that much toward the front like ordinary pants but, they are never the less, positioned too far back in my opinion and should be moved a bit forward around to the front to make the more easily accessible.

Very durable, fully featured suit. Love that it comes with socks so I can choose my boots. The two pockets are spacious and come with grommets for adding retaining loops, the velcro to keep them streamlined is a nice touch.
