Suunto makes good stuff, and I've had a lot of it over the years. However, the crimped end on the regulator side of my recently purchased SPG developed an air leak on dive #1. I gave Suunto a call in hopes they'd send me a replacement hose. Unfortunately, Suunto requires the entire unit be sent to Ogden Utah for inspection and replacement, with no promised turn-around time frame. While I can easily understand them wanting the defective product back, I may or may not purchase Suunto products in the future due to the facts above.

Works great, is worth it for a starter gauge into diving. Also the building block for later with the suunto novo zoop computer.

The mount is quite large and obviously designed to include the attachment of another piece (compass) making it a bit unwieldy for just a gauge. Also, there is no attachment point on the side for clipping it to a D-ring. If I had seen one of these in hand before buying it on the Web, I would have passed.

Great gauge for back up to wireless transponder for wrist computer. Kevlar hose is great and I3 vest is actually made for that specific hose size and length. Very streamline set up. Highly recommend.

The gauge readability is poor at depth. An ability to add compass is convenient. The HP hose is nice and thin.

There is some confusion in the Q&A regarding mounting a compass to thus gauge: "I need a pressure gauge/compass combination. Will one of the Suunto SK 7 compasses (SQTSK7B or SQTCBCC) mount on the back or end of this PG's boot?". I have this gauge and the "end mount" compass easily mounts to the end. It's a modular system. I took the compass off of my Suunto Cobra, after it failed, and moved it to this gauge.

very easy to see! I use the SK-7 back mount compass, makes for a very compact unit! You may want a console keeper to keep nice and streamlined to your bcd.

I would not recommend glass. Plastic is better in this case.

Great gauge for the price. Use a computer but like a little reassurance in regards to my tank pressure.

The Suunto pressure gauge is color coded for ease-of-reading and gives pressure readings from 0 to 5000 psi. The color coding is red screened from 0 to 700 psi for reserve air and green screened 1,400 to 5,000 psi. Numerical pressure increments are 500, 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 4,000 and 5,000 psi and 200 psi increment indicators. Pressure gauge is equipped with a 7/16" threaded high pressure Miflex Carbon HD hose. The hose has electro-less nickel-plated fittings and Viton O-ring. Miflex Carbon HD high pressure gauge hoses are manufactured in accordance to EN250 standard. Instrument has luminous dial for ease-of-reading in low light conditions. Gauge boot is made from a durable impact resistant plastic and has multiple-eyelets for attachment of lanyard or clips.
