If your were to buy this product in a dive shop without any kind of discount it would be a little steep, but the price on here is totally worth it's value. I have tried countless snorkels and between snorkeling and diving have gone through several snorkels to find one that is at least semi-good.
Super easy to purge, great overall design, never gets water in waves, and really easy to breathe. I would get this snorkel again in a heartbeat.

I had a fully dry snorkel that kept closing on me and decided to get the impulse 3 based on the reviews. I have been very happy with it. I've had it in large swells and it does a great job of keeping water out of my mouth. The purge valve is great too. Overall I am very pleased with it.
The Impulse 3 is more streamlined and higher performing than its predecessors, the Impulse and Impulse 2. Since its introduction in 1989, the Impulse Snorkels have been the bestselling snorkels in the world. The Impulse snorkels feature a patented design, with a patented upper valve, a two-drain system and Aqua Lung's patented Comfo-Bite mouthpiece. The Impulse comes in Flex and Non-Flex versions. The Impulse 3 uses a two-valve system. If a wave breaks over the snorkel, the patented, upper, annular valve directs most of the water out before it even reaches the mouthpiece. Any water that does get past the annular valve drains out the lower valve. The reservoir located below the mouthpiece keeps breathing path clear of excess water. In the rare event that you need to clear the Impulse 3 Snorkel, almost no breath is needed, all it takes is an easy puff. Looks like a basic snorkel for scuba an skin diving. In my opinion the more bells an whistles on top of a snorkel make it harder to use (breath). My 2 cents.
