CARI L : How small can the BC be cinched to? My daughter is extremely petite.ERICK B : My son was 5-2 and about 100 pounds. It fit him fine. Now he is 5-6 about 120 and it is a little smallANDREW S : You can adjust this pretty small. I got one for my grand daughter and she is very small and I had to get a small 50 cf tank as well as the tank weighs more than her. BCD fit perfect. I am a instructor and will use this through all my grand kids as they all love the water and want to dive with me and see all the fish and turtles.PAUL A : I purchased it for my daughter as well - who is very small. They work great for petite girls. Problem is (from a cost/benefits analysis, little girls grow up!! The feature of 'expansion' leaves a lot to be desired. I was not happy with the expansion range of the BC and so it basically only served us for one season/year of diving. Rather than try to 'expand' the small BC, you will end up purchasing a new one in a larger size. If your daughter is really young and you expect growth soon, then I suggest you purchase a less expensive BC for her now and then splurge on the luxury of a Zeagle BC when she is bigger.DOUGLAS K : My daughter was only about 65 or 70 pounds when she started wearing it. Michae Z : Can you swap out the shoulder section. I have one and my daughter is growing out of it. Has anyone done it?KEVIN F : The shoulder section is extendable in the back. Lift the velcro and extend the webbing on the clips. If you have already extended it to the max, then you would need to move to the adult sized Ranger. Zeagle does not make multiple sized shoulder sections for the Jr. Ranger.
Michae Z : Can this be adjusted to a larger size?MICHAEL S : The BCD is adjustable, but not to the extent that it could be worn into adulthood. But unless the diver is large for their age, it will last for several years, if using beginning at age 10. We have been extremely pleased with the productDUNCAN H : hi we have had kids upto about 100lb in it after that i use a scuba pro pilot xxsROB A : Yes it can, however to thing an 18 yr Old can use the same bc as a 10yr old is pushing it.PAUL A : It can be adjusted, but not to a degree that will make you entirely satisfied. I expected greater modularity and easier ability to purchase tje replcement straps and elements for expandimg it as my child grew. You will find yourself giving this one to a friend or selling it online and tjen starting over with another purchase for your child. Don't buy this BCD on the basis/feature of expansion. You will be disappointed.
JOHN P : Will this bcd fit my 8yr old son? It's between the Zeagle Ranger Jr. or the Cressi Start Pro in xxs. JOHN P : I'm looking for a BCD for my 8yr old son. I don't know whether to get the Zeagle Ranger Jr. or the Cressi Start Pro in xxs. I can't seem to find a size chart for the Zeagle Jr.?ROB A : The -zeagle ranger jr. Is hands down the better choice. I have fit 4yr olds to 15 yr olds depending on the build of the diver. Thanks Coach RobRob B : My daughter is 8 and worked perfect for her That fact that they make the parts interchangeable as they get bigger is a huge plus they could theoretically have this BCD for the rest of their lifeALEJANDRO A : The Zeagle comes in one size but interestingly enough can be adjusted to fit most kids. My son is about 4'11 and weighs about 90 pounds and the BC fits him well. I adjusted out the shoulder and waist to get the max. It looks like I might get some more years on it. I also love the construction of the BC and believe it may be a sturdier item than the Cressi. I'm not certain about Cressi, so base that on your own observations. Overall I'm happy with this beginner BC and the quality/fit for the price I paid.CHRIS S : The Zeagle Jr is great. It can adjust pretty small. Awesome Zeagle for kids!

Zeagle is always great. Got this for my 10 year old son. He is a pretty big kid but just wasn't ready for a small BCD. He is about 5 feet tall and 105 pounds. Had to extend the cummerbund but I still think he will be able to use this one for a few years.

A BC that can grow with your child.

I first purchased this BC as my son’s first BC when he was 12. He is currently 17 and still using it. I’ve had to purchase a new cummerbund for it and it still fits him. Fortunately he hasn’t stretched too tall so that part of the BC is fine. This BC can active built up and is VERY well made. All the parts and manufacturing is identical to the larger models. A definite purchase if you have a child that will grow into theirs. Your local dive shop can help order the parts as you need them in the future.

Great kids BCD

Great kids BCD with options to size up as they grow. Not a fan of the quick release weight pockets. The quick release drops the weights very easily but is NOT quick or easy to put back in place.

No crotch strap buckle

Great BCD for my small frame 10yr old learning to dive. However, we planned to put the split crotch strap on this BCD so it wouldn't ride up. The full size ranger has a buckle in the back to attach the strap but the Jr. is missing this buckle. I was a little disappointed to discover this as now adding the zeagle strap won't be so straight forward.

Outlasted the kids

We bought this for our son many years ago and he outgrew it. Then our daughter used it for several years and finally outgrew it this year. It has been on over 40 trips and 100+ dives and still looks and functions like new.

Zeagle Ranger Jr

This is a perfect fit for some of my 10 to 14 year old students. Just got my Grand Daughter in the water and se is small 10 year old. Gear weigh's more than her, but she just put's in on in the water and she does great. She even cleaned the pool walls for me. This works great for small kids.

For any petite women

Im a pro diver and I purchased this cause all XS bcd for women where still too big, Im 5'1 and 105 pounds. This bcd fits me well. Easy to clean. Only downsize is that cannot reach pockets so easy. Very comfortable and buoyancy is perfect. I like the double tank straps.

XS is too small

Always buy one size larger than you think you need for a child - they will grow into it before you know it. I thought the design would accommodate "expansion" for a kid's growth, but it is not what they promote/advertise. You are basically looking to buy a new BCD every year as the amount of 'expansion' on the "JR" is slight. Otherwise, materials and construction quality is 'Zeagle' (the best.)

My ten year old loves it

I got this so my son could learn to dive. He's taking his junior cert and I'm told that many operators don't stock junior sized rental BC's. Their kind of hard to find. This seems like it has enough adjustments to make it useable for a long time as he grows -- and then his brother will use it.

Perfect for juniors

Purchased for my son, he loves it,even after several dives, back inflation doesn't "squeeze" him. Buoyancy seems easy for him. Loves the weight distribution,makes the tank lighter. When he grows out of it got a girl ready to use it.

Zeagle, THX for kid-size equipment!

My son took his OWD at the age of 10. He is small of his age and we had to abort diving several times, because we couldn't rent or buy equipment designed for kids. Not fun when you BCD covers your weight belt and hips. Zeagle changed all of this with the Ranger Jr. and has put a smile on my sons face, everytime we dive. Pro quality and features for a young up and coming diver, GREAT! Oh, BTW, I've got the Zeagle Stiletto, almost identical to my sons Ranger Jr., great to be able to give him the same quality and features that I request for myself and not settle for some toy-BCD.

As stated it Grows as your child grows

I looked all over for a small BC for my 11 yr old. I settled on this one and am glad I did. My son has been using this for over a year now. The BC has 3 adjustable slots on each side for waist. You can actually unscrew the sides and adjust as your child grows. The back plate adjusts in a similar way. I also adjusted it smaller so that my 8 year old could attend the bubblemaker. When my 8yr old turns 10 and is able for OW I will purchase another one without hesitation.

I looked all over for a small BC for my 11 yr old. I settled on this one and am glad I did. My son has been using this for over a year now. The BC has 3 adjustable slots on each side for waist. The Zeagle Ranger JR gives parents the choice of a quality BC made specifically for children. Using the same rugged construction as the legendary Ranger BC, the Ranger JR utilizes Zeagle's Personal Fit System to let you change out specific sections of the BC so it can grow right along with your child. The waist panel of the Ranger JR can be adjusted out to add several inches of growth room in the waist area. The shoulder section of the BC can be replaced with larger sections when the child starts inching up past the "knee high to a grasshopper" stage. These features combined with the same quality in material and construction means that the Ranger JR will last for many years saving you from having to buy a new BC after every growth spurt.

The Ranger JR is made from the same heavily reinforced 1050-denier ballistic nylon like its adult version for strength and durability. Accessory attachment is provided with 2-stainless steel (SS) angled D-rings on the shoulders and 2-SS D-rings on the vest. The Ranger JR has an adjustable elastic waist panel, torso adjustable shoulder and sternum straps. The waist, shoulder and sternum straps are all equipped with squeeze-style" side-release buckles for easy and quick donning and doffing. The Ranger JR back inflation BC provides 24 lbs. (10.9 kg) of lift and is equipped with Zeagle's Ripcord Weight System with a releasable weight capacity of 16 lbs. (7.26 kg) of block or soft weight. The BC comes equipped with Zeagle's Bx Power Inflator Mechanism. The Bx Power Inflator makes preventative maintenance easy with its threaded lower mechanism that allows the attachment of a garden hose for fast and easy inner bladder rinsing. The Bx is also connected to a cable activated pull dump valve for rapid deflation. Trimming buoyancy in any position is made easy with the additional lower rear over-pressure relief/pull dump valve with pull cord. The BCD weighs 5.6 lbs. (2.5 kg), comes with a low pressure quick disconnect hose with 3/8" threads, and made in the USA.
