Shopper : Is there away to mount on other BCDs?  If not can anyone suggest something similar that is universal?Mario C : Here is the one with grommets.
Shopper : You mention " Just remember this is only for BCs that have the Zipper insert in them" I have a night Hawk BC with integrated weights . What zippers are you referring to?YAN G : This does not work with a Knighthawk. Only the Zeagle BCD's with the zipper in the back (zip mount system).
Shopper : Does this attach to the left side of the BC as you are facing it (right side as you are wearing it) or right side of the BC as you are facing it (left side as you are wearing it)?ROBERT R : This is designed to be used with the Zeagle "Zip Mount" system. The base of the system is a buying a pair of Zip Mount adaptors which thread onto your Zeagle BCP and then provide the one half of a heavy-duty zipper sticking out to the right of your BC under the "wing" and one sticking out to the left. All the accessories like this one then have the other half of the zipper sewn on. So the answer to your question is that once you have the two Zip Mount adaptors mounted on your BC, pretty much any of the accessories like this pouch can be mounted on either the left or the right as you prefer. We usually keep a Zip Mount "Spare Air pouch" zipped on one side to hold a 3cf Spare Air and a mesh bag accessory like this one zipped onto the other. That bag usually contains a hard snorkel and (too many) emergency devices. I love the system. My Zeagle Stiletto is my light-weight travel BC. But my larger BC is a Seaquest Black Diamond and I was able to attach Zip Mount adapters on that as well by simply punching holes in the nylon(?) bands of the Zip Mount adapters and bolting them in to the Seaquest's hard tank mount with stainless-steel machine screws and nyloc nuts. (The Zip Mount adapters are only designed to attach to Zeagles unless you do a bit of rigging. But I've managed to mount them on a couple of different brands of non-Zeagle BC's with only minor tinkering). Moving my Zip Mount accessories back and forth between the two BC's is as simple as unzipping them from one BC's ZIP Mount and zipping them onto the other. I wish all BC brands would standardize on a universal mounts system that make this much sense. -BobMarcel F : You can attach it on either side.Jeffrey S : You can put it on which ever side you choose. Once you have the zipper mounts (sold separately) in place, you can easily mount the signal tube pouch on either side.SEAN L : Either, it's universal.FRANCISCO E : It can attach to either side.Micheal B : You can Attach it to either the left or right side. Generally speaking As you are looking at it, Pony Bottle on the Left and Signal Sausage on the right. Just remember this is only for BCs that have the Zipper insert in them. I installed it and love it. The Zippers are standards on the Ranger LTD and can be installed on all Rangers and Zena BCDs.BRENT B : It can be mounted on either side, but, you'll also need to purchase Zeagle 8137 Zip Mount Adaptor for this pocket to zip to. If it's a Zeagle Zena BC then you will need Zeagle 8137 Zip Mount Adaptor for Zena only. Zeglae makes a few different zippered pockets for various uses
Shopper : how long and wide is it?FRANK B : It fits a sausage and a finger spool. It is quite handy. It is not cumbersome. I use it every dive.ERIK G : It's about 11.5 inches long and 5 inches wide. That's with a SMB and finger spool inside. Not noticeable at all while diving.
Shopper : can this hold a spare air bottle securely?Jeffrey S : No, it is not intended for pony bottles and I certainly would not recommend it for that purpose. Zeagle makes a specific zip mount pouch for pony bottles that has a secure velcro closure. I would not trust the elastic closure on the signal tube bag to hold something with the weight of a pony bottle. Always better to get the right tool for the job than risking your life and equipment on something makeshift.FRANKIE W : I dont think so. I use it for my safety sausage and finger reel and it is a tight fit.CHRISTOPHER B : I use this pouch for my 6 cubic foot pony tank,fits perfect. Just be sure to secure the pouch opening securely as the pouch zips into the zeagle bc with the opening facing downwards.PAUL F : Although I have not used mine to do so it looks like it would easily hold a pony bottle no problem.
