PETER M : How does this attach to the rail of a truck? Can you demo the back side of the holder clamp? I have a factory installed rail system on my 2017 Tacoma that uses cleats. Will this work with my truck?Darrell B : Took some photos of my installation but no way to attach to this answer ... On my newer F150 I bolted it to the inside lip of the box rail, at the front. In my previous Chev truck I bolted it to the side because it had more room between the box front and wheel well. I bolted it in place using stainless steel flathead Torx(R) screws and self locking stainless steel nuts. I don't recall the screw size but I think it was #6 but could have been #4. Sorry. I haul 3 tanks and it works great.Christopher D : This tank rail needs to be screwed into whatever is supporting it. As long as it is no more than 2 feet off the floor and you dont mind screwing into it, it would work fine. The holders that slide into this bar are sold separately and I will include the link below.
Shopper : What keeps the tank holder from sliding back and forth in the rail?SANSHIN S : The rail is exactly long enough for the holders. There are end caps that prevent movement. If you were to remove one of the tank holders i.e. Remove one holder from a three tank holder setup, it may slide around . But when used as equipped , there is no movementDarrell B : Just the two end inserts. My rail is for 3 holders and when two are used it would slide. I made a plexiglass insert to fit in the empty spot. You could also just install a machine head screw in the rail to act as a stop.

Need a multiple tank holder system that allows you to eliminate the bulk of permanent racks on your boat, pool deck, vehicle or garage?
