Shopper : Would this mount hold a Faber 23cf pony with a OS Diam of 3.92”? The numbers are close. With in a half inch diameter. I just don’t know how much flex there is in this mount.ANDREW L : Yes it will fit. My 19 CF pony bottle is 4" in diameter, and the strap is long enough to manage a significantly larger bottle; at least a 1/2 in diameter or more. Yours is probably longer, same diameter; I know that the 13 CF bottle is also the same diameter, only shorter in length. This is such a basic question that Leisure Pro should know -- why do the people that sell this stuff not know what they are selling? FYI. This strap mount, when mounted near the middle of the pony bottle, is a solid, secure mount that does not bang against the primary tank. If you don't mount near the middle, it will bang against the tank. The rubber bumpers between the mount and the tanks broke off right away; they will for you too. Go to a hardware store and buy short nylon screws, lock washers and nuts, with the head of the screw against both tanks. Much better. Simple and effective.GEORGE M : Held on by the BC strap (cam band strap), normally the upper BC strap if you have 2 BC cam band straps. The hooked part with rubber bumpers is captured to the main 80 cu ft tank strap. Then the pony bottle mounts to the seperate metal strap band. If you loosen the main 80 cu ft strap, you can remove the entire pony bottle still strapped to the mount so you do not need to fumble with removing the pony bottle Seperatly each time you switch main tanks. I mount the pony upside down so I get reach the valve and the hose comes under my arm pit. If you mount it upright consider valving it on fully before the dive and storing the second stage under your chin with a cave diving 'necklace'. Flat regulator like an old Viper works well under your chin.

Nice but.

It is build robust, very easy to mount to your main tank, but the half moon where the Pony bottle will lay is for very thin/small circumference tanks, it still will fold your pony thank without problems, I have a 19cf Luxfer Pony that is 4 1/2" wide, this Pony Mount is for 3 1/4" or 6cf tanks, I did not get the option to buy one for a 4 1/2" tank, so bare that in mind that when you order one.

Solid Mount

The mounting surface is to small, allows pony (Cat 30) to bang main tank. I purchased a secondary mount and now I am VERY happy with my rig with one on top & bottom. Alittle on the expensive end, but well worth it. Solid construction and high grade stainless. Dive Safe, Not Sorry......
