Extreme cold water swimming

This hood has made all the difference in the world for my swim in the Puget Sound temperature that varies from 45°F to 55°F. I hade a 3 mil cap, but after 40 minutes the cold was getting to me. This 6 mil hood allows me to swim in extreme comfort. It also covers the face which eliminates the extra time required to acclimate the exposed skin to the extreme water temperature.

Keeps my head warm

We dive a lot at a local quarry and the water stays pretty cold, to the point where my head hurt! No issues with these!

xs scuba hood

Not as advertised!

The hood is advertised as 6mm cold water hood, but the only panel that is 6mm thick is on the back side of the head. The rest of the hood is made out of flimsy, 2-3mm neoprene that won't keep you warm in cold water. Considering its poor and awkward fit - this XS Scuba product was heading back to the store the moment after I tried it on, and for all the reasons stated above it is a perfect candidate for "Avoid" recommendation!

Good service from Leisure Pro. Used hood 5 times already. Keeps head warm at 70 feet in Missouri River. Good buy for the price

This hood gives you the comfort you are looking for with a super stretch neck section. The hood will keep you super warm with the skin-in" face seal which reduces water exchange at this important facial sealing area. The face seal will also allow a custom fit for the skirt of your mask by allowing it to be trimmed to meet your facial features perfectly.

A broad 3mm bib adds to the warmth with layering under your wet suit and if you decide to use the hood with a dry suit the bib can be cut away. Durability is guaranteed with the strong glued and blind-stitch construction throughout. Hood is available in multiple sizes.
