The inner diameter of the outer housing or the diameter of the valve plate?BRENDAN H : The diameter of the outside of the housing is what you're looking for. I bought the 1" when I actually needed the 2" Hopefully you don't have to deal with the same issue. Make sure it's the correct sizeMARK P : That would refer to the diameter of the threading for mounting the item to the BCD or lift bag, etc.JEHIEL B : Yes, I know is weird, they should change that description since it makes no sense. The important measurement is how wide is the Valve housing (what you screw in place). The measurement for it is 2" diameter. Not sure what the 1" represents, it is the size of the pulling "handle", so that may be it. Hope this helps.WAYNE G : The inner diameter of the actual hole/opening. Most BCDs use the larger size KEVIN F : It measures the diameter of the cover housing on the underside closest to the threads.

I know OMS has the same threads as Halcyon, so it should work.MARK P : Don't know specifically for OMS, but it's a fairly standardized diameter and threading. I use it on Halcyon gear. Try your OMS valve on a ScubaPro or something, and find out if it is interchangeable generally.
