Backup Depth Gauge

While I have not yet used my new gauge, it arrived promptly, was well packaged, and was exactly what I ordered. When maneuvering rapidly for wildlife pictures, I do not want to change my depth except according to my dive plan. I cannot look away to check my gauges without risking the loss of a picture. I intend to mount my new backup depth gauge on my camera rig, next to the camera viewfinder, so my depth is displayed where I'm already looking.

Good so far.

Haven't had a chance to fully utilizate this gauge but so far it does what its supposed to. Pressure seems accurate, temperature seems a little high but close and compass works well. I like that this gauge is compact.

I guess you should have changed the picture to just the guage. Apparently, people look at the picture & don't read. Too bad.

It is just the guage as it says on the website. It fit perfectly onto my existing high pressure hose & into my console. No leaks. 5 minutes to swap out old guage. The price can't be beat. Love it!

I am a beginner diver so I try to keep spending on the low side for now but I didn't look at the details of this item. The details are clear that this is not the whole unit but I looked only at the picture on site. I ended up returning this unit, but the return experience was awesome and quick.

Not impressed.

It has what I need, air pressure and compass. It eliminated the extra bulk of an unnecessary depth gauge which I have on my wrist computer. I have not dived with it yet but I know I will have to get used to the odd pressure increments. My old console had 100 psi increments. I was hoping that the thermometer would be indicating the surface temperature but it thinks that my 70 degree house is 75 degrees.

If you need a basic depth and pressure console for a reasonable price this is it. The max depth indicator is the only frill but in my opinion very handy for a new diver w/o a computer to help him/her to fill in there log.

Looking for a complete analog instrument console in a compact boot format? The XS Scuba Navigation Console packs a pressure gauge, depth gauge and a compass module into a great ergonomically design console. Pressure gauge is a highly accurate bourdon tube design, reads pressure from 0 to 5,000 psi and features a built-in thermometer for temperature readings. Gauge has red highlighted readings from 0 to 500 psi for safety reserve air. Thermometer needle is brightly colored for ease of reading. Pressure gauge comes with a 36" (91.4cm) high pressure hose with 7/16" threaded end.

The depth gauge is an air-filled steel diaphragm depth gauge with a 0' to 200' readout and maximum depth indicator needle (MDIN). The MDIN is pushed by the gauge depth needle until the diver meets their maximum depth. The MDNI will remain at the maximum depth reached for the duration of the dive to indicate the diver's deepest depth reached during the dive. This feature allows the diver to not record that depth while diving yet will be available upon surfacing for later calculations for repetitive dives. The colored graphics of the gauge face allow quick glance monitoring with bright red depth indicators at strategic positions on the gauge face. The red indicators are at depths beyond the standard sport limits of 130' to 200', warning the diver of the excessive depth.

The highly accurate compass is calibrated for the northern hemisphere. The compass is liquid filled for a quick and responsive movement. A ratchet bezel with numerical compass headings in 30° increments and 10° indicator markings for calculating compass headings. The bezel has twin heading indicators for alignment of compass course and a lubber line across the compass face. A side window with compass degrees allows gun-sight accurate use when precise headings are required. All 3-gauge faces are luminescent for ease of reading in low light or night diving conditions and are housed in an impact resistant rubber gauge boot. Console is proudly made in the USA.
