Angel A : Did you like the length of the hose or shorter will be better , like 30 inches?DEAN R : For me it is a little short. Another three or four inches and it would be perfect.DAVID N : We like the length, we clip them to our BC near our chest with a bolt clip. Its a great SPG, compact, and it’s nice having a compass all the timeJOHN P : I felt the hose length was just right. I wouldn't want it any shorter. However, I'm a tall person with longer arms so you might want to take that into consideration. Best regards.ANTON N : I have it on a retractor so the length is fine as it is right on my hip D ring. Suppose the length comes into play based on your torso length. I’m 5’6” and it’s just right for me.
Victor S : What is the diameter of the gages on this console?JOHN D : The exposed glass is about 1 7/8 inches so the body of the gauge is probably about 2 inches.JOHN P : The SPG face measures 1-3/4 inches but being in the rubber housing the overall diameter may be closer to 1-7/8 inches. I really like this console as it's light weight and well made. Just returned from a two week trip to Bonaire.

useful combination. A little small

Combining the pressure and compass in the combo is a practical mechanical backup to electronic dive computer with integrated air and digital compass. The displays are a bit small, but that also makes for a compact head easily tucked away. The magnetic compass is first rate. Easy to level while swimming, bright display read from either top or from behind, with a crisp snap to the bezel setting and a good lubber line window.

Looking for a durable pressure gauge compass combo console? Console is perfect choice for use with a wrist mounted dive computer or depth gauge. The Highland by XS Scuba can fit the bill! Console combo has a durable scratch-resistant pressure gauge that is triple nickel-plated brass cased with tempered glass lens. Gauge reads from 0 to 5,000 psi, has a simple unobstructed white-faced dial for easy reading. The air-spool is equipped with Viton O-rings for oxygen compatibility out of the box. Gauge has a built-in over-pressure relief valve for added safety and the gauge face is luminescent for easy reading in low light or night diving conditions. Gauge has a wide 270° sweep for accuracy. Gauge is manufactured in Italy. The pressure gauge is equipped with a 32" (81.3cm) Miflex carbon HD braided outer layer, 7/16" threaded high pressure (HP) hose. The Miflex hose is 35% thinner and 50% lighter than traditional rubber HP hoses.

The compass has a highly accurate movement with an allowable tilt of up to 22°. The compass can be used for top or side reading with the side reading providing gun-sight accuracy when navigating. This instrument is highly accurate and is calibrated for the northern hemisphere. The compass is liquid filled for a quick and responsive movement. A ratchet bezel with numerical compass headings in 30° increments and 10° indicator markings for calculating compass headings. Bezel has twin heading indicators for alignment of compass course and a lubber line across the compass face. Compass card is luminescent for low light and night diving conditions.

Both instruments are housed in a durable impact resistant gauge boot with dual attachment points for a clip or lanyard.
