I haven't yet tried this mask for scuba diving. I tried it out snorkeling. The fit was good, but I was a little disappointed with the lens portion. I couldn't really see through it. It could be my face, but it didn't seem to do what I thought it would. I will have to try it farther underwater to really evaluate it. I like the concept, so I will try again.

Good idea, poor design. This mask fits well and has a nice large window. But. I really need bifocals for camera use, looking at small creatures etc. Unfortunately, the placement of the bifocals only works if you are wall-eyed. I can only look through one lens at a time and they are too low in the mask to be very useful. Still searching for a solution.

Hello divers Marcus here from central NC. If your older like me and need readers all the time for everything. This mask is great! VERY HAPPY w/ it. If you dive, you know you need a back up mask on any dive trip!!! For sure if you need readers! My local dive shop sent my primary mask off to have readers installed somewhere in the Midwest. Now your dive shop should have you don your mask and use a gauge or instrument then make a mark on your lens for proper height & fit. At least my shop did. When i got it back i was sure surprised at the cost !! $200 bucks. WOW very nervous if it was right. The custom readers installed were perfect !!!! And to be honest, with the custom fit it was a little better vision than the XS Scuba reader mask. But when my XS scuba mask w/ readers arrived, i put mask on and looked at my console and i was VERY PLEASED ! Not being able to see your console is a GO or NO GO for any diver period! The XS mask is my backup mask. but could be used very easy as primary mask. $82 vs $300 "custom readers" mask. My dive buddy is going to buy him one also. Every scuba product i've bought from XS Scuba has been spot on!! If you need readers in your mask " I have a small head now" you should be happy with this XS mask w/ bifocals. I'm OCD & hard to please! 5 STARS on this mask. Get one and add it to your kit bag !

Unfortunanlty, age gets the best of us often through our eye sight first! After having great vision in my 40's I now find I can't read anything without reading glasses. I started looking at the self adhesive lenses when I came across the XS Scuba Guage Reader Mask. I can now see again! I actually liked them so much I have already ordered a second pair!

I can see up really close at gauges and most of all small creatures and things that were blurry up close in the past. Nice fit and lightweight. Nice mask for the money.

Very lite weight, cheap mask. Not worth the money.

After struggling with cheap, stick-on diopters, I really wanted to love this gauge-reader mask. However, I'm on my second one, and I'm still having problems with the mask leaking. I think the problem is in the gasket seal to the face. The front portion of the mask is not very flexible, so the gasket doesn't seal well. I've tried everything: shaving closely, Vaseline, cinching the strap tightly. Nothing works except the latter, and then my head aches and I get mask face for hours after every dive. This isn't a problem if you don't mind water in your nose pocket (or in your eyes if you invert), or if you don't mind clearing every few minutes. I plan to keep this one after returning my first one, so I'm hoping it will get better with repeated wearings.

I love the 1.75x magnification this mask gives me for reding my gauges and camera settings. However, I returned my first one because it was leaking around the lenses somewhere. The second one seems to be leaking around the seal under my nose. I can feel bubbles in the nose pocket. Believe me, I know how to seat a mask so it doesn't leak, and none of my other ones leak at all. And I don't have a mustache. Tightening the straps helps, but that leaves me with a headache and serious mask-face. I think the problem is in the contour. This mask is not shaped to follow the natural bend in most faces from the bridge of the nose to the cheekbones. And it's pretty rigid across the middle, so it doesn't flex much to fit your face. I'll keep diving it for photography dives and just clear it when it gets too sloshy, but I doubt I'll do many repetitive dives with it before I switch back to my Cressi Big Eyes.

Have you ever looked at your computer while diving and wished the numbers looked bigger? With the Gauge Reader Mask by XS Scuba, that wish is now a reality, XS Scuba's Gauge Reader Mask incorporates magnification lenses of +1.75 into the bottom of each lens. This allows you to see normally through the main lenses and yet, the ability to look down and see everything bigger. Ideal for photographers, videographers, mature divers and just about anyone who could use a little extra visual boost. This version has improved close-up magnification with single plane glass and back to the original angled-back down-view-design.
The Gauge Reader Mask has all the quality features of XS Scuba's mask line. Mask has a double feathered edge silicone mask skirt and safety tempered lenses for great vision underwater. The 2-window design and the large one-handed nose pocket for ear equalization brings the mask closer to your face providing an exceptional field of vision, low volume and super easy ear equalization. The mask frame is made from a durable polycarbonate material, has easy adjust buckles with a wide split head strap for added comfort and increased seal on the face. Mask comes with a protective storage mask box.
