scott b : how do you purge bag on a runaway ascent?MONTE S : The bag is open at the bottom (see product description) This is typical of lift bag designs. Once filled or expanded to its maximum volume, additional gas expansion on ascent will just flow out the bottom while the bag maintains a constant buoyancy.ERIC C : I think your out of luck when that happens. You must be ready and careful because when its heading up its gone to the surfaceVeronica F : You should not be holding the bag when lifting or doing an ascent so there is no way to vent. You should also only add air in small increments so it won't run away. Always use a reel when using a lift bag.ERIK F : The bag has a dump valve. Just pull the dump valve. It is similar to a BCD dump valve.DEORAJ B : I don't think its possible to do this with this type of bag. Its recommended that its rigged properly before air is released into it.RANDALL T : With an enclosed bag it is difficult. You can grab the top of the bag and pull it down to expel air, just watch for the air bubble so you do not let all of the air out. You can purchase a lift bag with a pull purge if this is a continuous problem.

Product arrived well packaged & protected. In use it performed as expected. Product had quality workmanship and was made of heavy vinal along with adequate reinforcement straps. There was a heavy bolt snap attached capable of more than lifting 50 lbs.

Great lift bag

Great lift bag, floats objects at the surface for a while and does not deflate, I think it will pull up more than 50lbs.

You just found a 25 lbs. (11.3 kg) davenport anchor and can't figure out how you can get this prize back to the surface. You need a lift bag. You never know what you're going to find on a dive that is worth money, so always pack a lift bag when you go diving. The XS Scuba Standard 50 lbs. (23 kg) Lift bag is a traditional open bottom design. The lift bag is manufactured from durable and heavy-duty PVC and is bright orange in color for easy identification on the surface. The lift bag rolls-up to a compact size and can be stowed in a full-sized BCD pocket. The lift bag measures 20" x 20" (50.8cm x 50.8cm) has nylon webbing lift straps with a 316-grade stainless-steel 4" (10.2cm) spring loaded bolt clip for easy attachment.
