Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?AARON C : it is easy to add weight to shoulder straps on my sidemount setup to get weight higher for trim than a backplate weight pocket.ROBERT W : Looks like a good system.PHILLIP M : My reasoning in choosing these is simply, adjustable trim options. These plates provide precisely that with hard weights, not soft shot, and allow different attachment points that can be custom to each diver and their buoyancy characteristics. Note, these should not be considered ditch-able weights if that is your requirement. Being properly weighted (both for buoyancy and trim at the beginning AND end of the dive) is generally far more important. These plates fit our requirement for that.

Sidemount divers, technical divers, and free divers, this product is for you! Highland by XS Scuba Weight Plates are a quick and easy way to add blocks of lead to a 2" (50mm) wide piece of webbing such as a harness or weight belt. This will allow for fine tuning of your weight requirement without having to do any disassembly. Includes 2 plates and 4 pieces of bungee. Plate is molded from rugged glass-filled nylon for maximum durability. Recommended for 1, 2, 3 and 4 lbs (454g, 907g, 1.36kg, and 1.8kg) blocks of lead. Numerous pyramid anchor points bite into the webbing to keep the plate securely in place. Highland by XS Scuba Weight Plates are sold in pairs.
