Put the cap back on when your done with it just so when it shakes around in your dive bag while in transit you don't hear is ringing all the time.CHASLIN F : The red rubber tip is NOT glued on. The point underneath is also NOT sharp but blunt. It is a good item to help keep a person off the coral or to point, or bang on your tank to get attention.DOUGLAS R : It's not glued on, comes off easily.

You won't know that you needed this, until you have it.

A solid piece of 19' Stainless Steel, it has a finger hole for steady holding, either to point out marine life to others or to hold you steady in sand or in rock. A large sturdy clip to attach it to your BC, out of the way, when not in use. A definite asset while diving. Other divers will ask where you purchased it, and will also want one. It is a high quality piece of equipment to be added to your gear. You will get years of use out of this.

A small problem with the pointer

I like the pointer itself very much. It is sturdy and has a ring which is very useful when you have your finger in it. The attachment clip is easy to clip to the BC ring. The small problem I experienced that the connection between the clip and a pointer is weak place and can be easily broken. That happened to my pointer. I fixed that with the bolt and nut and it was fine afterwards.

Useful Long Pointer

This pointer is about two inches longer than the pointer w/ a rattler also offered by Leisure-Pro. There's a sturdy metal clip than can be used to attach to one's BCD D-ring. It works fine and I find it quite helpful.

Solid, well made, I look forward to using it, clip is a nice touch as is the finger hole.

Solid well made, I look forward to using it. Seems nice, not sure why there is a red plastic cap on the blunt end as that will go missing pretty quickly. I may try melting it or glueing it on.

Perfect Muckstick

Used it in Philippines and Indonesia. Perfect as both as muck stick and a tank banger. It has good heft and is really easy to use with the finger grip. Attached clip is very useful. Highly recommended.

This pointer is fantastic when leading dives. The XS Scuba Dive Master Pointer is the perfect tool to point out small critters to your group without disturbing them. Pointer has a built-in stainless-steel swivel clip for easy carrying. Pointer makes a quick-and-effective attention getter by tapping on your cylinder. Pointer is made from rust free 304-grade stainless-steel with heavy 5.5mm (.217") diameter. Pointer is also equipped with an index finger loop for great control. The stainless-steel swivel clip provides a pivot point and clip rotates 360 degree for easy use.
