XS Scuba makes a standard and a SuperTilt and I would like to know which is used in this unit.GUY W : I'm not sure but this unit can tilt 45° and is legible. That's my guess ANDREW B : I think this is the standard version. I haven't been diving in about a year but I remember the bezel contacts the glass fairly quickly. The frame it is in is 3 1/4 inches long and it is2 1/5 inches wide.It is a wrist coompass. Not for a console. Look at the picture again. It has a thin bunjy cord for your wrist. Hope this helps.

I would say that you can trim the bungee if you inclined to wear on your hand.DAVID P : Yes it is. 1 strap goes around your wrist, the other around 3 fingers so as to line up lubber line. If I am doing serious navigation I will hold the compass with my left hand to line up lubber line.CASEY S : Yes. It usually mounts to your arm. Works fine, but the numbers on the dial are upsidedown from what they should be in my opinion. It is not what I find on other compasses.

Great Compass!

I always have my camera rig with me when I dive. So I just strap this on one of the float arms. Now its always in front of me and ready to use. Simple and solid and great price.

XS Scuba's Highland Bungee Mount Compass comes equipped with 30" (76.2cm) length of 0.16" (4mm) thick bungee cord for mounting on your gear for superior navigation. Compass can be mounted with one continuous loop or two separate loops for redundancy. This Italian made Instrument is highly accurate and is calibrated for the northern hemisphere. Superior tilt potential of +/- 30° makes for excellent navigation.

The compass is liquid filled for a quick and responsive movement. A ratchet bezel with numerical compass headings in 30° increments and 10° indicator markings for calculating compass headings. Bezel has heading indicators for alignment of compass course and a lubber line across the compass face. A side window with compass degrees allows gun-sight accurate use when precise headings are required. Compass card is luminescent for low light or night diving conditions.
