XS Scuba 3 Hose Clip

It's a simple clip, so a review isn't going to be too long. It works pretty well but there is one issue that warrants the loss of a star. We bought these clips for our update to 84in yellow reserve secondary hoses. This clip keeps all that length nicely controlled. The third "clip" (beyond the usual two on most such clips) really makes the difference. The one change I'd make is I'd serrate, or otherwise add friction to, the inside surfaces of the three clips. With today's popular mesh-covered hoses this clip doesn't grab them longitudinally (along their length) like you'd wish. The result is that the hose loops tend to rotate through the clips during your dive, which rearranges the loop sizes inconveniently. The other side effect of this lack of friction is that you cannot get the metal hose fitting on your backup second stage to stay secured in the third clip. It too will shift along the hose, which ends up allowing the second stage to start banging into your arm or torso. Yes, you can shift it back during the dive, but it's actually harder to intentionally insert than it is for it to unintentionally slip back into the hose. Bottom line: Excellent idea, 80% execution. Change the injection mold to add some ridges on the ID of the clips and it would be perfect!
