About Apeks XL4 Ocea Regulator Yoke Mint

Introducing the Ocea scuba regulator! This innovative diving regulator is brought to you by Apeks and is specifically designed with sustainability in mind. It doesn't compromise on build quality or performance and aims to minimize the environmental impact of every material and manufacturing process. Thanks to Apeks' collaboration with PlasticBank, the Ocea is the world's first ocean plastic negative regulator.

The Ocea is made using recycled polymers containing up to 70% post-consumer waste and bioplastic parts sourced from non-petroleum-based materials. With its trivalent chrome plating, which uses fewer harmful chemicals, and eco brass that's lead-free and easier to recycle, the Ocea truly embraces an environmentally friendly design.

Apeks XL4 Ocea regulator is a versatile and lightweight option perfect for diving in any conditions, including cold water environments. Its compact design and low weight help to reduce jaw fatigue during extended dives, making it a great choice for technical exploration divers carrying a lot of equipment. Plus, the high-performance capabilities of the Apeks regulator make it ideal for technical divers looking to save weight.

The unique over-balanced diaphragm design enhances performance at depth by allowing the intermediate pressure gas in the hose to increase more rapidly than ambient pressure as divers descend. The first stage is equipped with four 3/8" UNF threaded low-pressure ports and two 7/16" UNF high-pressure ports.

The XL4 Ocea's second stage is compact and lightweight, improving overall comfort and reducing jaw fatigue on long dives. It features a high-performance pneumatically balanced lever-operated poppet valve, a large self-flushing purge button, and an ergonomic Venturi lever. The flexible nylon braided hose offers superior cold-water performance compared to traditional rubber hoses, and the standard metallic hose connection ensures interchangeability.
