I needed to replace the compass on Aeris AI dive computer console. This is the same compass as the Aeris and Oceanic, except for the logo. This was also considerably less money. I definitely recommend this compass!

I bought this compass for my Aeris Atmos AI. The boot broke and the original compass was the older style. The older style boot is no longer available for the Aeris Atmos AI; however the AquaLung I550 boot fits the Aeris Atmos AI. The AquaLung boot uses the new style compass, so this compass works with it. The compass is great with clear markings and no branding so it looks very much at home on my Aeris Atmos AI.

I bought this compass for my daughter to use. It fit very well in her Oceanic Swivel boot. Overall it looks very well made and is worth the money I paid for it. I do not see a reason to buy the higher priced compasses.

This module did not fit in my boot so I became creative and used a rubber snorkel keeper. The module goes in one loop and you use the other loop with a retractable clip and attach to your BCD. WORKS GREAT!!!

Light weight compass and so far using it everyday for 6months but not broken yet. It fit real nice with Deep Sea Supply's compass mount which is the best snug fitted mount ever but for better solid construction, it better to use the DSS mount with Uwatec compass. Works nice for the price of the product and I don't mind to buy it again.

I bought this compass as a back-up to the compass on my dive computer. Tried it out on my last and found myself having to shake or tap it to get it to work. Very tempermental. The slightest degree off parallel from the horizon and it won't work.

As a professional pilot, I use compasses daily. When I took up diving, I was appalled at how difficult the "dive school" ones were to interpret. They all had one major problem...they were too easy to read 180 degrees out. Half the class would get confused and head in the total wrong direction! This compasses does not have that problem. You dial up the lubbar line and put north to north. It says "N" on both the dial and the needle, the way it should! No chance of confusion. If you want to go back on the opposite course...just reverse and put south to north.

OEM replacement. Firs in console easily and securely. However, all plastic, and broke my original while trying to remove from console for cleaning and swapping guages around. A little brittle, be very careful removing and installing. Pricey for thin plastic compass, but it fits OEM console...

Really nice compass. Works even when not level...and looks and feels like a quality product. Much nicer than the one it's replacing. That one is getting mounted in an elastomeric bungee wrist boot.

Good compass
By David C.
Works well.
There are no street signs underwater. The reef is not on the corner of 3rd and Elm! Knowing which way to go or finding your way back to the beach or boat is made easy with a compass. Many divers take compasses for granted, considering them just an accessory to an overall dive gauge console system. Trying to navigate with a poorly designed or improperly functioning compass can be one of diving's more frustrating events. The Genesis compass is liquid filled for a quick and responsive movement. With a list of features as functional and convenient as every instrument that bears the Genesis name. A ratchet bezel with compass headings in 30½ numbered increments and indicator marks for every 10½. Bezel has twin heading indicators for alignment of compass course and a lubber line across the compass face. The Genesis is a dual-purpose compass. The convenient side window allows quick reference of large, easy-to-read bearing indicators on a luminescent display for gun-sight accuracy. Or, for divers who prefer relative navigation, the ratchet bezel can be rotated easily even with thick neoprene gloves.
The luminous dial of the compass is designed with a half black / half luminous graphic to make quick work of compass direction, especially in dim light. The dial (compass card) rests on a precision jeweled bearing and incorporates extremely strong magnets for super quick response and accuracy. While the compass module itself is very-compact, the housing has a large vertical interior allowing viewing angles that would stop other compasses in their tracks.
