Very deep helmet, but nice
This helmet certainly seems well-made, but not super comfortable. It's made very deep so it sits down really low on my face unless I pile my hair on top of my head inside of it. It does look nice and with a few mods I think it'll still be a great helmet-just a strange fit!

It's my back up helmet. I like the ratchet head strap. The only thing is that you need to add head padding or the sides come down over your ears and it is uncomfortable. Took me 5 min with Velcro tape and padding I had. Can't beat the deal they are going for right now.

not the best choice
It works fine, but is fairly uncomfortable.
I would not buy another one.
people won't wear a helmet if it hurts your head.

Great, but needed some extra padding.
The helmet is great. It is a little too deep though and it sat on my ears when I put it on. A little extra padding, and it is very comfortable, I was good to go.

Great value. Easy to adjust and comfortable. Most recently worn while kayak surfing off a sandbar in 3 foot waves 2 miles off-shore. Many wet exits. Stayed on. Stayed snug. Dried out quickly.

diy insert out of Eva foam
Great helmet just my head was sitting to deep in the helmet the inside plastic was rubbing on my ears making it really uncomfortable so I ended up making a quarter inch diy insert out of Eva foam so my head wasn't so far in it works great now and very comfortable

Good helmet.
I got this helmet from recommendations of other cave & Rescue divers. It?s lightweight, comfortable & is easy to mount needed tools.

It is what it is.
It is what it is. A good low cost helmet for rental organizations that also looks nice. However, I found that even with my large to medium-sized head, the plastic bands road down on my ears, no matter how tight I had the helmet adjusted. This had a cutting sensation because the strap is a tough rigid plastic. I sent it back for this reason. I could imagine after paddling for a day, I'd either have a bad headache or open blisters from the strap. Too bad. I wanted to like the product.

Havoc Helmet
This is a great all around water helmet. One size fits all and very sturdy. We always have spare helmets when we hit the river. If your serious about white water. Grab a few of this all around great helmet.

Great adjustable helmet huge upgrade!
I've been a raft guide for 20 years we used one of the earlier models and it pinched people's heads at there temple's. I just bought this new version to outfit my own paddle raft, just put one on and exceeded my expectations. So comfortable and real nice fit. Very happy with product. I own six now for my personal paddle raft setup.

Does the Job!
The helmet is nice and I feel it would work in a sticky situation. It was great to have on with the high water in Colorado this season when having to duck under multiple bridges. I couldn't wear for a full day on the water due to it hurting the top of my ears. It is pretty deep so it was folding my ears down. I also could not wear my hat or sunglasses under it. Overall, price was right and it will protect your head!

Ratchet loosens while swimming with PFD
Purchased this helmet for use at a swiftwater/floodwater rescue tech training class. I was swimming with an NRS pfd (great products). Every time I rolled onto my belly for aggressive swimming, the ratchet in the back of the helmet would loosen. I could literally hear it clicking every few strokes. At the end of each swim the helmet was loose on my head. The helmet felt great otherwise - drained well, nicely padded, good fit, low profile. For recreational kayaking/rafting, it's probably a great helmet. As a rescue helmet, which many sites have it described, it's not.

My head has never felt better!
Helmet fits well and looks good. I haven't sustained impact to the head while wearing it yet but I feel confident that the helmet will do its job.

I almost certainly would buy this product again.
I bought a helmet for my wife and myself. Although we have not been able to use them, they appear to be exactly what we were needing. Being unable to use is due to weather (extremely rainy and cold). This is also why I only gave the helmets a four rating. They fit great and feel great. Can't wait to use them.

Couldn't adjust the helmet to keep it off of my ears.
Ordered online. Had to return it after testing the fit. It slid down on top of my ears and felt too uncomfortable to wear.

Havoc helmet is a great value....
I needed a comfortable helmet for a kayaking course and for on the water...and my head is large...the NRS helmet was recommended by a local shop (who was out of stock). Great helmet...great quality for the price, and it fits lots of different head sizes (easily adjustable). This was my first purchase from NRS. I was really pleased with the quality and service. Highly recommended.

Big enough
I bought this to wear with the NRS Mystery Hood (What's the mystery?) for cold weather kayaking. I was concerned that it wouldn't be big enough for my big head but they work fine together. The adjustable system gives a comfortable fit.
