Used Suunto Transmitter Only for Air Integrated Wrist Computers

I have had many Suunto computers over the year, and this is my first wireless. I have always been using hoses for my gauges. I am now a dinosaur diver. I have been diving since 1896, am a retired instructor, worked in resorts, land based ops and livaboards. I love everything about the concept of this item. It worked flawlessly. However I had not used it in about a year, and when I went to check it a week before packing for a trip, it lost connection with my Vyper Novo. My Vyper needed a new battery. I replaced it and had no issues. However It still would not pair. I suspect the batter in the transmitter is dead, but there is no way to tell. They say youll see an icon on your computer, but if the battery is dead dead, then there is no signal to transmit. There no indicator on the transmitter and most shops need to send this back to suunto to get the battery changed and Ill guarantee you its not cheap. It will probably also take a long time to get changed. Luckily I have amassed lots of gear over the years. I have multiple functioning regulators and computers, Ill be fine, but I wanted to use the new tech out there, which isn't so new. Wireless transmitters have been available to divers for years. I am disappointed that the battery cannot be changed by the user. I have changed every battery of every suunto I've owned and never had an issue. For that I give it two stars. If I was not a fan of suunto gauges I'd give it a 1. I'll still recommend it since its a suunto product Caveat Emptur.

The installation and configuration of the transmitter to the computer was fast and easy. You just have to learn how to use the computer to manage your dive.

The shipment and customer service is excellent. Buy with confidence! I use it with a D4i and love it. It connects easily and reliably. It’s incredibly helpful to have the remaining air and time left on my D4i. The pod allows you to be more streamlined, although I use a SPG as a backup

This is my first dive computer and it absolutely lived up to the hipe! It did everything and more that I asked it to do. The information was quickly accessible and easy to read. Would highly recommend to anyone leaving the dive watch, non air integration, moving into the dive computer, air integrated world. I was much more comfortable having so much information at my fingertips while at 100’ down.

I bought the D4i 2 years ago and the transmitter failed after 3 dives. I received a new transmitter and the watch gave me a wrong tank pressure in the middle of the 2nd dive. It indicated 387 PSI, then 2000+ PSI, then, 5000+ PSI and finally, I had a NO CONN code and no tank pressure reading at all.

A great accessory to have. I use this as my primary with a backup gauge connected to my regulator. Much easier to look at my dive watch computer instead of reaching for my old console.

used it for 2 dives....... and it failed. opened it up since i bought it in DEC 2013, i opened it up thinking it was a battery problem.. it was FLOODED!!!!

Installed easily, no problem syncing wireless with my Suunto d4i. +/- <100 psi compared to my pressure gauge which for me the difference did not matter much.

I am extremely impressed by Suntos technology however buyer beware when buying gray-market merchandise. Scuba.com is an authorized dealer- which virtually means, for a little more money they will stand by their authorized warranted products. If something goes wrong during the warranty period, the manufacurer or Scuba.com will take care of you. "Sleezerpro" is not an authorized dealer & I got burned because of it. Sleezerpro also takes it upon themselves to perform repairs onsite- oftentimes against the will of the manufacturer. Sleezerpro will give you a "warranty", but if they choose to modify the terms of their "warranty" or fees involved they may do so & leave you "high and dry" (because they do the repairs) and in my case, with a water logged transmitter that makes a better paperweight than a diving instrument. Hear my lesson & buy larger purchases with authorized dealers! Its just not worth being left in the dark. The manufacturers wont even answer your e-mails!

10 dives with this device and no issues at all, easy to install and use. Instructional book is not good, so it could be a little bit difficult for someone set it up the first time. Install it in the cylinder with enough pressure, go to dive air settings and clear the code in order to assign a new one, new code will be assigned automatically and that's it. Get really close to transmitter and wait around 1 or 2 minutes the first time.
