The cable is well made and works well, but I wish it used a USB-C or even mini-USB plug to insert into and attach to the clip and not the older small "almost square" plug. It would be good not to have to bring along a special cable just for the Quad.

Mares is unresponsive in assisting customers with this product and the puck in goes with. I've given up and moved on to Aqualung.

This thing is the worst! Tried it on two different dive computers and plugged it in two two different computers as well nothing will even recognize it even after downloading the require software.

I bought this to use with my Mares Puck Pro Wrist Computer, item #414127 (I have the regular Puck Pro, not the Plus). It works fine, as expected, it does what it is supposed to do. It lets the Dive Computer communicate via USB with your PC or Laptop. Only 4 stars due to price and quality. It feels a little fragile, like I might break it. I use it with my Windows10 laptop, and Subsurface. (Subsurface is also great, as it is free, and allows data sync between phone, cloud and computer. I have not tried the Mares software).

The pairing was not automatic, but did go through manually. The software itself presents well once the data is entered, but entering it is not always as logical as you would expect. If the software was better I'd give it 5 stars because I do like the ability to review data and keep records. Another downside is you really have to have a laptop to use this. So entering data while on a week long dive needs to be done the old fashioned way, in your paper log book.

Book says to hook it up and go. But no, you have to mess with it. Once you get it figured out, then it serves its purpose.

It does what it's supposed to do though you do need to fiddle with the connection a little bit. It's not the most elegant of devices but does work.

Was a bit apprehensive after reading other reviews about troubles some folks had with this adapter, but, let me tell you, its worked flawlessly, just as it should and love being able to import info from my Puck Pro. I just followed the instructions to get right driver, then attached unit. It worked beautiffully just it should the first time, no issues with any of the dive log software I have.

This little gem is your connection to data collected from your dives. It will upload dive data in to software which allows you to add pictures, dive info... etc. Desktop software takes about 45 minutes to figure out, but it's good once you do. This cable also allows you to update the dive watch.

The electrical connection is a physically secure one so no doubts about whether or not connection has been made. In my opinion, much more desirable than pins with twist connection as with the Suunto Zoop Novo which I also use. I am also very satisfied that connection between my PC and Mares Puck is always easily made with their logging software or with Subsurface. Have not gotten the Zoop to make connection with DM5, which is why I bought the Puck in the first place.

Won't connect computer to dive computer. So kind of a waste of money since that is its purpose. Might be the computer app but not working.
