Love this light! They are very common, so be sure to label with your name. This is my second one because I didnt label it and dive charter claimed it as their own. I'd consider it a spot light rather then wide flood light. Highly recommend. Leisure pro shipping A+

Many night dives with this flashlight as well as using it to peer into dark places during day dives. A great size for keeping in a BCD pocket. My husband and I each have one.

This is an excellent value, American made, won't overheat in water or on land, lasts at least as long as advertised, and has a simple-stupid design. I own two, often using one as a primary. It's easy to grease the 2 o-rings. To turn on, it takes firm but limited twisting. You don't have to twist far in either direction when near to the "on" position. Unscrew it a little, and it turns off. Since no one seems to know the beam angles, I decided to measure them. Yes, I used geometry, tape measure, yard stick, and a dark shop wall. The light emits 3 distinct brightness areas: central beam and two bands. The central beam is more like a pencil beam with soft edges. Central beam blinds you in day and night if pointed at you. The 1st band is moderately bright, annoying at night if this band shines your way but not a problem during day. The 2nd band is extremely wide but dim, not blinding at all during night or day. My measurements: 12 degrees central beam, 38 degrees 1st band, 112 degrees 2nd band. As a comparison, I used a Bigblue 1200 lumen flood light on a night dive a couple weeks ago. The water was slightly churned up. I ended up pulling out this SL3 because it penetrated the dark so much better, which was a feel-good in Pacific waters. The Bigblue is awesome, but it wasn't as good under these conditions. Basically, in my opinion, this light is more of a pencil beam light with a little bit of a small-to-medium diameter flood at the same time. It won't replace a dedicated flood beam if that is what is needed, but it is a great all-around tool. I really like it for wreck dives and when water is silty or has debris. One tip if you are a novice at photos and videography with cheap action cameras at night (me!): shine pencil beam to the side of the critters, because the pencil beam is too bright. Lastly, I included some photos, which include both 6 ft and 12 ft distances from the wall.

I bought this because I lost mine, which was the newer model of this one. I use this light as my primary. Don’t do night diving really but it worked just fine the one night dive I did do. It is a great size with a lot of light. I clip it onto my BC. Love the green/yellow color as well.

I use this as a backup light to a much more expensive light monkey light. I turn it on before I get in the water to not stress the O-rings at depth. Where/when I dive there is normally very little, if any ambient light and this light is bright enough to be used as a primary dive light if needed.

It's good for fun dive. But a bit big.

It does exactly what I needed for night dives. I used it as a primary light as it was bright enough for me to see in a rock quarry after dusk. Battery life is still a question as for now I am pleased.

The light looked and worked really well However, when I was looking at it when I first got it, the end piece broke and I had to send it back. Never even got in the water with it.

Well made light. Balanced with a good weight. Very bright, great for cracks and crevices during day dives. While I havenâ??t used it in a night dive, Iâ??d have zero concern making this my primary light.

Only used once since purchase but produced good light beam, comfortable to use in dark dark water. I got the Yellow to increase ease in locating underwater.. Very happy with 20+ year old U K HID 100 8-cell as well

I bought these lights after spending the same amt of money on some chinese lights. These were very bright underwater and brighter than most of my co divers.

This light is pretty good at cutting through dense green algae. The kind where if your 15 feet from your partner they are totally gone. This helps find them if you both have one. For the price L.P. had them, there is no question. Just buy it. 4 stars cause my big Blue light, way more costly, was it's direct competitor.

This is a good primary light for recreational diving. Turn on off mechanism seems to operate smoothly and easily. Beam is quite strong and provides a nice wide radius of illumination. Batteries easy to swap out. I've had several dive lights and this is a nice overall piece of equipment fairly priced.

Like the light a lot. Is a little bigger than I thought. Streamlining for spearfishing is hard given the size. I use as as my primary. Def. recommend.

I ordered the yellow version of this light. Quality is great and I'm very impressed with how bright and clean this flashlight LED is. Haven't dove with it yet so I can't say if I'd recommend this light as a primary but my expectation is that it would be a solid primary performer along with being a great backup. Highly recommend!
