STEVEN B : I have the Spartan point Argonaut knife but have lost the sheath. Can the sheath be sold separately?Robert M : I haven't seen the sheath sold separately anywhere. However, if you contact Aqua Lung directly, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't sell you one or even send you one for free. Their customer service is usually very good. Best of luck. It's a fantastic knife and I'd hate to be without it.Mark H : Unfortunately the sheath is not sold separately.
Shopper : I didn't see any information regarding if the knife and sheath have a locking mechanism??Donald M : There is no mechanical locking mechanism, but the knife is held in place by the moulded kydex sheath
Phillip W : Will the sheath attach to the grommets on your BCD?Robert M : In most, if not all cases, it will not attach via grommets to the BCD. However, the straps will allow you to attach it in a number of different ways in various locations. There is also a great snap-on comfort sleeve you can purchase that replaces the straps and holds the knife in the sheath. It works great and is more comfortable for long dives and multiple dives. It will also allow you to wear the knife on your arm or upper or lower leg.PETE M : Not sure on the BCD, I attach it to my leg with the current strapping when I dive. I bought the knife for diving and also concealed carry when I travel overseas, I had special kydex clips designed to attach to mollie webbing and inside the belt concealed carry. I also had one side of the blade treated to keep a better edge Hope that helps I love the blade. Pete M

Knife nut loves this one!

This knife is incredible! Unlike most dive knives I have owned over the course of 28 years, this knife is sleek, ultra trim, and outright handsome. The obvious benefits are already included in the description of the item. The workmanship is second to none and I'm sure this knife will be prized for years to come.

Very Nice Setup

Saw the Aqualung Argonaut Knife at a show with the Aqualung Rep who is an old friend and even he didn't know when they would be available. They finally started showing up online but were very expensive. Got a great deal here. Bought 2 with Spartan tip, my son loves his. Very light, sharp, great sheath, can be strapped to your kit for non diving work. Also bought an Aqua Lung Argonaut Leg Strap, great for diving (google it). The only CON, back of the handle can be a bit sharp to the bare hand when working with the knife. Have used it to cut some different line to try it out, serrations work great. bought the Spartan blade for a brain spike on bigger fish while spearfishing. My son used his to lay waist to a pumpkin, made short work of it. Very light and fast in the hand, good grip. Leisure Pro has great service

The Argonaut Dive knives are designed to be one of Aqualung's best and toughest knives. The butt, handle, hilt and blade are all fashioned out of one piece of 4mm thick titanium. Then coated in black EDP, sharpened and laser etched. The handle is then wrapped, twice, in 5mm paracord and tied off with a 5" (12.7cm) leash. 2mm thick Kydex plastic is then heated and thermoformed around the knife to make the sheath. 1/8" (3.2mm) grommets are inserted and the excess material is removed with a heat knife. The final stage is laser etching a subtle Aqualung logo on one side of the sheath.

The blade is cut into two styles; the Spartan and the Blunt. The Spartan comes to a spear head point with one side featuring rounded die cut serrations to prevent snags on rope. The Blunt comes to a blunt chisel like tip. One full side of the Blunt blade is die-cut with rounded serrations. The handles are wrapped 1/2" (12.5mm) from the hilt to provide a spot for the forefinger and extra grip for the sheath. The butt of the handle features a sharp tactical tool and the skeleton holes in the handle are hex wrenches for emergency situations. Knife comes with 2" (5cm) belt loop and BCD Mounting Hardware. Blade is and handle are 4-7/8" (12.38cm) in length each.
