THESE FINS WORK GREAT. HAVE USED THEM FOR AT LEAST FIVE YEARS. THE MAJOR PROBLEM OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS IS GETTING THE REPLACMENT POWER BANDS..... THEY ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. WHICH MEANS THEY ARE NO GOOD TO ME.

Great fins for warm water diving and snorkeling, I use with my bare feet.

Most comfortable foot pockets of any fins I've tried. Size is easy for packing in carry on luggage as advertised, but comfort is the big factor in deciding to pay this much.

I got these as a light comfortable travel fin. Easy to put on, they feel great, with or without a sock and free up more space and weight in my luggage than my home fins I use with a 6mm boot.

I like these. I purchased two sizes, Regular and Large/X-Large. I wear size 11 shoe, and the fin sizes bridged 11 on their chart. The Regular size fits a tad small but just big enough, while the Large/X-Large size fits a little big. However, I'm able to get lycra socks or thin neoprene socks with either, although I prefer the thinner lycra on the Regular size. The fins can be worn barefoot, but I prefer a little protection when taking them off. They are NOT designed for standard booties in your size. The strap works well. The Large/X-Large is a little heavier than the Regular, but the same overall length. The spring system does add a little power over its length but by no means as powerful as the standard scuba fins.

Fins are very comfortable in the water. They provide good force and propulsion. They are easy to put on and take off.

I bought these for travel after I contacted Marty Snyderman renown UW photographer who used them in his travels. Now about 7 diving years later I can say it is a fantastic product. Just today replaced heel straps as a precaution and hope to get another 7+ years out of them. They are comfortable, powerful, easy on and off, fit in my carryon when traveling far, especially to livaboards where you do not want your checked gear to get lost. A word of caution: not for high instep feet. My wife with her high instep feet could not even get the on to try.

Writing this review from Papua New Guinea, where we encountered light to medium currents, especially when diving some channels. My wife uses Atomic split fins and had no issues while I had to kick extremely hard to keep up, which ultimately resulted in less air. I am in good shape which was not the issue. Again, if you are diving non-current environments they are great but with any current I would stay 100% clear of them. I will sell mine after this trip and look for something else.

Haven't used it much but will soon. So far, it has been used once and my wife likes it. I bought it for her birthday present. We will be taking a trip soon and she will have the opportunity to use it more.

I love these fins for travel. They have served me well being light weight. After about 1 year of regular diving use the fin straps start tear.

I was really hoping these fins would work out. I really wanted a short pair of fins for traveling. But the Large/X-Large really aren't X-Large. I wear a size 13 and my toes pressed hard against the bottom of the boot and the top of the boot pressed painfully hard on the top of my foot. And as has been stated in other reviews, There is no way you can wear a scuba shoe with these. It's a shame, If they actually made a size X-Large these would be a nice fin. I also think the power bands are kind of gimmicky. I didn't notice an appreciable difference in tension in either position. After all, How could moving that band 1cm make a difference. That being said I didn't hook them up to any kind of measureing device, so what do I know. Unfortunately I'm going to have to send these back. If they decide to make them in an X-Large I will definitely give them another try.

This seems like a quality fin, but it runs narrow, and there is no adjustability in the heel. They would be worth a try anyway, for someone with a narrow foot. But in our case, the company is totally nonresponsive to our requests to return them. So I simply cannot recommend the product (or company).

I loved these fins, but had to return them after only trying them on. They are not for wide feet size 12.

I really like these fins. They are compact for travel but still provide good power for tropical diving. They may not have the thrust for heavy-duty technical or arduous cold water diving. I've had mine for 4 years and used them in Hawaii and the Caribbean with no problems and I weigh over 200#.

Have been diving with Hot Shots for four years now, best travel fin I've ever used. Light, easy to don and doff and comfortable on a bare foot so I don't have to deal with stinky boots and waterlogged feet all trip long. My wife prefers to wear a thin Lycra sock with her Hot Shots and that works great too. If you travel or dive in warmer water, take a pair of these along with you.

Those fins are absolutely worthless, they flex so much with equipment on I could hardly move In open water with current they could get you killed !

I was concerned about the power bands in regards to their lifespan but could not find any reviews on it. They do sell replacement bands so I decided to give these fins a try. I am not sure how travel friendly they really are. The only way to get it in my Samsonite carry on (21in regulation) is diagonally and on its side without fear of damaging the fins. They also stick up about 4in above a laptop backpack. The heal portion is bulky so this is less than ideal. I wanted to upload pics but there is no option for that. My foot measures exactly 11in so I started with the Regular (9-11). My big toe reached the end and made it uncomfortable. The foot pocket was snug like it should be. Exchanged for the Large (11-13) but the foot pocket is slightly too big. Now foot has too much free play. That is a problem waiting to happen. I could probably keep the fins and use a neoprene sock but then why not get a different open heel fin and use a dive boot? That would provide more options. Might have been better for me if I was not between sizes. LeisurePro was great about the exchanges and I have no doubt they are with returns as well. The downside is I have to pay to ship them back for the return and selected a different product.

I'm used to my full sized fins but after lots of hassle traveling with them I decided to try something new and thought that the Hot Shot would be something much better than what I generally get as rentals. They are OK fins but no magic, got the same felling of lack of power in the kicks as I get from rentals around.

I own aqualung slingshot fins that I love and use for diving but they are very large and difficult to travel with. I purchased the hotshots for their smaller size to use for snorkeling and travel. I was very impressed with their performance while both snorkeling and diving. I would definitely recommend these to anyone and have already purchased a pair for my wife

Only used my HotShots a couple times diving so far, will update review if future use changes my opinion. I wear US size 11.5 shoes and bought L size fins. They are about a half size big with bare feet, but still very comfortable. They are just a hair too small to wear scuba boots with (I tried, it was a tight squeeze), but I've ordered some scuba socks to provide protection while I walk to and from the water, and I think they'll work quite nicely. They are very easy to fin around with, no leg strain or cramping so far. I haven't used them while diving with a group, so I can't comment yet on speed/effort required to keep up with buddies using full length fins. Nice and compact, I fit them in my carry on backpack.

They do not seem so substantially smaller as I expected. I really did not like swimming with them. They are very stiff and it took a lot of effort to swim with them in any current.

These are not bad fins. They may be beneficial for some but not for me. I am 64 years old and I need a more efficient fin which require a little less effort to get on and off.

I bought these for travel only- I have used them in a pool just to get a feel for how they perform. So far I am happy with how they feel. I am an XL fin user and these fins pack a punch in a smaller size-about 5 inches shorter than my everyday boot fins. I do have a more narrow foot than some so a wide or extra wide foot may have difficulty (I wear a 13 regular fit). The only thing that may be a down side for some is that due to design and use without a boot you cannot walk around on shore or dock without a regular shoe or sandle. While this is great off of a boat it may cause issues with shore diving. I will be doing both later this year and will have agreater understanding of PROS and CONS that I can update.

We travel a lot to dive. (Red Sea, Indian sea, Atlantic and pacific ocean) so these are great for travel. I also have issues with cramping. I never cramped with these fins. The only issue I have is they are not good for speed or current.

My wife actually uses these fins. I bought them for her, thus the pink color. The fins are very comfortable and then generate forward motion on both the up stroke and the down stroke. The fins are very easy to remove in the water since they have a large loop within the built-in fin strap. They work very similar to spring straps for SCUBA fins.

Great Fin

Dove with these fins for 3days of 2tank dives in Mexico. Used in moderate current with at time heavy surge. All i can say is they have great power, there small compact fins that imo dont lack a thing. I used them with socks since a small was too tight and regular was a hare loose. They say there supposed to be used without boots but i was worried about rubbing so i went with the socks. i have a solelss pair of 3mil boots and could have used them as well. Im mostly a tropical diver and with t...

Aqualung Hot Shot Fins
By MICHAEL D.
The ultimate warm-water travel companion, the HotShot delivers the power needed for scuba diving in a compact fin that packs easily into carry-on luggage. A lightweight, techno-polymer blade incorporates adjustable silicone Power Bands to maximize thrust and bands can be adjusted during the dive to meet changing conditions. Supple foot pockets are designed for use with bare feet and Comfo-straps are buckle-free and self-adjusting. A semi-rigid, techno-polymer blade has an excellent spring effect for maximized thrust. Silicone Power Bands are loaded with energy during the down stroke, which they release prior to the upstroke for a power boost on every kick. Twin-Speed Gear Shift allows each diver to dial in Power Band resistance for their body type or changing diving conditions, and adjustments can be made while wearing the fin.
A Mid-Foot Flex Joint is used to attach the blade to the side of the foot pocket. This maximizes energy transfer from the leg and provides the power of a blade 30% longer. Blade ribs are made of two different elastomeric compounds and provide precise flex control. The top and sides of the foot pocket are soft against bare skin yet allow neoprene socks or thin-soled boots to be worn for thermal protection. Self-adjusting Comfo-straps allow fast donning and eliminate the need for buckles, minimizing drag. Anti-slip rubber pads on the bottom of the foot pocket give traction for moving around on boat decks. Overall length of 20.9" (53cm) fits easily into carry-on luggage, such as the Departure bag from Deep See. The size regular weighs 3.28 lbs. (1.5kg). Fins are available in multiple sizes and colors.
