Diving is so much easier with the I3 system. No more trapped air. No awkward tangling of inflators hoses. Will never go back to old system.

Comfortable, simplistic to use, great buoyancy control. There are so many positives to the i3. I would not go back to a standard BCD. I have 2 gripes one covered here as pockets are near useless as zip to small. But we don't use much anyway. On the surface I find you must use more like a semi wing as vertical it will push you face down due to the smaller pocket inflation. You won't regret buying this infact I doubt after trying you will ever go back.

Very comfortable and well featured BCD. It fits well and I like the Wrapture system for distributing weight. This style of vest suits me perfectly as I am a South Florida recreational reef diver and generally dive from my boat. I am older male, 6'-4" tall and weigh 215 lbs. The X-Large fits me great.

I got this BCD through Bluewater Divers OKC, who I did my certification with. I chose this one because of how comfortable it is to wear. I am completely messed up from multiple combat deployments and having a BCD that doesn't cause me pain or cause me to have pinched nerves is absolutely wonderful. Other BCD's I wore, either dug into my lower back, caused me to have pinched nerves or pain in my neck and shoulders. This has made me a fan of Aqua lung and will continue to use their products from now and in the future. Thanks for making a BCD that is comfortable for disabled combat veterans to wear!

Great fit and superior workmanship . The new metal tank band works perfect . Vest balances nicely and the power inflator is very sensitive. I am 5?10 and 203 pounds and ML fits perfect . I think large would be too big for me . I should also add that Leisure Pro was the only seller in the USA with the right size in stock .

Moving to the integrated power inflate switch was an easy move and one I don't regret. It's took only a few dives to get comfortable with it. Venting is fantastic and roll is all but eliminated.

I bought this on sale without trying it on first through LP, so I knew I could return it. I wasn’t sure I would like the inflator, integrated weight and the size of the BC. It first appeared to be much bulkier than what I was used to. The integrated weight system definitely adds bulk. After using this BC for the first time shore diving in Bonaire, I really liked my choice. The tank attachment is awesome. Very easy and secure without Velcro. Easy to adjust tank height. Comfort was amazing on land to Carry tank around. The inflator/deflator was great! So simple and natural on the surface and making adjustments underwater. Push down to go down. Pull up to inflate. Underwater I had easy to control boyancy with freedom of movement. Weights kept balance and tank weight pockets when added weight was needed. It was easy to accessorize and carry other safety gear like lights, signal sausage, line spool compass , etc. multiple D-rings places in the right places. I’m 5’10” and 190 lbs I got the M/L size and it fit well. Maybe I could have used a M , but I felt good with this size. As I started with, it’s a little bulkier than my last BC mostly because of the weight integration, but the snap in tracks for the weight integration are easy and very secure. I used a weight belt for 12 years , so having the weight integration adds weight to the BC for donning and doffing and tank changes and lugging it around. It’s just different. Overall, I really like this BC. In water performance (where it really matters) it was great. Loved the inflator control out front.

Was looking for an I3 from my local dive store, but since a new version of the product was coming soon in-store inventories were low. Purchased from Leisurepro just in time for a trip to the Bahamas and best BCD I've ever used! Side inflation/deflation valve is intuitive and easy to use for beginners and experienced divers. Highly recommend this product and purchasing from Leisurepro.

Just took this BCD for a first dive last weekend. Love it. Very comfortable. Distribution of the weight of the tank is excellent and for the first time in 10 years I didn't suffer lower back/hip discomfort after a dive. Seems to be a very solid and well constructed BCD. Bought this after a (failed) experiment with a back inflate; enjoying the return to stability in the water. Minor complaint: the rubber zipper tab on the pocket slid right off the pull strings on the first tug, so I'll have to rig something up there. I'm tall and thin (5' 8 1/2", 126 lbs) and have struggled to find a BCD that fits well. Point of note for women: chose this (size XS) over the women's Oceanic Hera, which I felt was also a great BCD, but I dive in 5mm and felt the AquaLung was just slightly less binding.

I had mine for 4 years, maybe had 200 or so dives on it, paid $700, then the bladder tore and the inflator/deflator mechanism was also found to be inoperative. It was sent to AquaLung for repairs and they wouldn't fix it, There were many things I loved about this BCD, but the fact that it doesn't last outweighs all of them. I thought it was only mine, but after talking to others they have had the same problems.

Love my BC, but only used it a couple dives and one of the weight pouches fell out. Thankfully, I was at the surface but cost me new pouch plus cost of the lead to the dive staff, and ruined an otherwise great dive, and made me looking like a nube. Been diving over 300 dives and have never had this happen before.

My wife and I each got one and we love them. Super comfortable, easy to get in and out of, tons of clips and pockets for gear, pockets easy to access (not too high and awkward to unzip without contorting yourself like some other BDCs we've used) and the i3 lever is so simple and works so well we can't imagine going back to the old over the shoulder hose. What a joy it is to dive with a product so well made and thought out.

This BC has a design issue which will eventually puncture the BC bladder. Mine failed and it was repaired at an unreasonable expense. Get a different BC

When I first saw this about 2 years ago I thought to myself... WHAT A GREAT IDEA! Its a basic BCD with the clip in weights in the front and weight pouches in the back near the tank. However there is no inflation controls floating around constantly in your face, everything is located on your left side just above your hip. Ive used mine for over 50 dives and everything is like the day I bought it. (velcro, clips, rings, weight pockets etc) You will need to measure the length inflation hose and buy one separate that fits your size. I use a suunto dive watch with pressure transmitter with this. There are also stainless rings on the chest straps to hang gear like a big UK flashlight or a pad to write on. the right side has a zip pouch where I mounted my dive knife. If you lift the zipper pouch, a large fold out pouch comes out. VERY hand for storing things like a lift bag or whatever you find on your dive.

This item was a gift upon completion of certification training. This is also the equipment used by the certification course, so I was happy to already be familiar with it.

Veru well built, stable, nice weight release system. Fits very big if you're tall and slim. More than height and weight, take a look at chest and over the shoulder measures for proper sizing. Looks sturdy, octo pocket and gauge pocket are a very clever bonus.

This is a very well thought out BCD. Its very comfortable, not overly padded or overly bulky. I like that is doesnt have a cumberbund. Cannot comment on durability yet but it appears very well made. I have tried many bcds from lightweight travel to heavy duty backplate and wing systems. In the end this bcd turned out to be just right. Not too lightweight and not to heavy. By the way this can be folded down to fit in a carry on suitcase.

The Axiom is a durable, full-featured BC that boasts amazing comfort and fit. This ADV style, wrap-around jacket has a super streamlined air cell and gets its noticeable comfort and support from Aqualung's proprietary Wrapture harness system (pat. pend.). The Wrapture allows you to stand up straight in total comfort while the cylinder remains perfectly vertical and pulled in close. This comfort, along with the innovative GripLock tank band and the SureLock integrated weight system will make the Axiom the new standard for recreational divers. The Axiom comes in multiple sizes and colors.
Wrapture Harness System (pat. pend.) Using patented swivel shoulder buckles and a proprietary, ultra-thin back plate, the Wrapture provides unsurpassed comfort and stability. Wrapture prevents the BC from riding-up" on the surface. Out of the water, the Wrapture keeps the cylinder close to your center of gravity and transfers the weight to your hips. The result is the ability to stand up straight with a cylinder that is perfectly vertical.
SureLock II Mechanical Weight Release System (patented) provides a safe, single-pull release. Inserting weight is as simple as insert and click". With SureLock, your weights are secure in the BC. Once engaged, the only way to release the weight is to pull on the handle. The Sure-Lock II Mechanical Weight Release System with 20 to 30 lbs. (9 to 13.5 kg) Capacity (sizes dependent). The Axiom also has fixed non-releasable weight pockets attached to the cylinder band with capacities of 10 lbs. (4.5kg).
The GripLock Tank Band is a strong, secure way to attach the cylinder to the BC. Gone are the days of complicated web weaving through multi-slot buckles. Predetermined detente settings make set-up simple. No adjustments are necessary when switching cylinders of the same diameter. Best of all, you don't have to worry about pinching your fingers with GripLock's innovative finger saver feature (pat. pend.).
A bladder retraction system is used to pull in the sides of the bladder during deflation. This keeps unit streamlined and reduces drag. An adjustable chest strap can be raised or lowered on a rail system. This not only ensures a good fit but also keeps strap from running across top of a dry suit valve. A scooped octo-pocket on the top, front of the right lobe makes it easy to stow and deploy an octopus. The octopus remains visible and accessible throughout the dive. Some divers may find it useful to run their instruments behind the left pocket and out the scooped opening on the top, front of the lobe. Pocket within a pocket A small security pocket is found on the flap of a larger drop-down pocket. Knife attachment points are found on the left lobe which will accommodate many of the Aqualung knives. This location provides easy access to the knife. BC features 5 stainless steel D-rings and 2 plastic D-rings for all your accessories.
The Axiom comes equipped with Aqualungs Power Line Inflator with an increased fill rate which is now, one of the highest air flows in the industry. The Power Line is an environmentally sealed unit for less maintenance, has integrated hose clips for attachment to the LP hose for a streamline and low profile. The inflator is equipped with a cable activated rapid exhaust at the top, simply pull down on lower unit to dump air. Right shoulder pull dump provides an additional dumping option. Rolled neck collar for comfort. Axiom provides from 27 to 48 lbs. (12.25 to 21.78 kg) of lift. BCD comes with an owner's manual.
