Great compact light for tying off to the anchor line on dives. Makes it easier to find my way to the right line. Also a great light for leading trips on night dives.

Excellent strobe. Very powerful light using 2 C cell batteries. I hang one off the side of my boat for night dives to help locate the boat at the end of the dive. Love it.

It's not as bright (LED) as its predecessor (Xenon gas tub) but its bright enough.

i dive areas that can have less than optimal viz and having this attached to the anchor line about then feet off the bottom is comforting. super bright underwater and has been knocked around a bunch and still works great. I read reviews at first about them flooding but ive had zero problems. every season or twice a season, unscrew it, clean it, and re apply silicone to o-ring. and to turn it off, only unscrew it enough to shut the strobe off, not enough to break the water tight seal.

This the third strobe I've owed and from all experience the best of the bunch. Double "O" rings, "C" cell batteries, long burn time and a sealed light unit all add up to a quality strobe at reasonable price.

Cave diving, wreck penetration, night diving. Extremely reliable with great visibility. You must silicone the O rings and keep threads clean. Never a problem and amazing how long batteries last. Handles deep 100 - 150 feet dives with ease.

For night dives and wreck dives. Aids in finding ascent lines and along reels for guidance out. Be sure to silicone O rings. Long battery life. Strong flash. Pay attention when turning on or off under water. Bulbs are impossible to purchase so I order new strobes.

This strobe is poorly constructred. This flooded three times. Twice TekTite replaced it under warranty. I gave up on my thrid strobe because I could no longer be bothered. Although their customer service was satisfactory, I would never buy another Tektite product.

After reading many reviews about flooding, I assumed some kind of user error and decided to give it a try anyway. Well, it flooded on 5'th dive. Sent it back & got a replacement returned to me within a week. Factory suggested turning it on & off while topside. We'll see how that one goes..... *NOTE: Tektite seems to be the 'go-to' brand for this sort of thing, otherwise I would've tried something else.

This strobe works well when the batteries are brand new. It doesn't take long to lose performance because the batteries are starting to fade. We use these strobes in multiples to mark the anchor/chain when we are diving in low visibility Mid-Atlantic waters. So many times they can be left on for long periods of time and drain the batteries quickly. The manufacturer also recommends turning the strobe on and off above water to reduce the risk of turning the bezel the wrong way and flooding the strobe. This also adds to the length of time left on. If you don't mind keeping fresh batteries on hand it is a decent little strobe.

I have owned two of these over the past 5 years. Both have failed. I am fairly certain that water/moisture enters the lights and they slowly corrode the electronics. Not a massive flood but the strobe electronics on both end up foggy and corroded, as with the batteries which end up leaking acid. That said when they work they are bright and run for a long time. Nice size, not huge, perfect for a DIR under arm harness mount.

I purchased one of these from LP. Unfortunately it survived 2 maybe 3 dives most. The light never flooded it just stopped working. Ret'd to Tektite [...] Same light ret'd [...] lasted one dive.....Junk! I plan on dropping my their location and complaining in person.

I have 3 of these, though distributed by differant manufactures and cost range, they are all the same light. Absolutely worth every penny when they work. If you buy these, which I am going to buy some more because I do a lot of night dives from boats and they are great when they work. Before ever taking this light into the water, first grease the o-rings with some type of O2 compatible grease - again O2 compatible grease, turn light on before descending and clip off where ever you choose. Leave light on till you get back on the boat. Immediately take light apart once home and dry off and check for leaks, the brass inside corrodes very quickly making the light useless. Light one failed first dive at 37', light 2 lasted 5 dives up to 70', light 3 still ticking... and they are rated to 300' which is BS. I so wish someone would perfect this strobe at a reasonable price because they really are awesome when they work.

I bought this for emergency signaling on overseas trips. It has worked well for me. It is a little bulky for a BCD pocket but fits well. It is bright but not as bright as I would like. I like the dual orings to prevent flooding. I have used it down to 50-feet. I thought it was a waste of my money. I have been spoiled on other strobes. It doesn't float and doesn't float upright underwater.

I gave this one dive flag only because I had to put something down, otherwise I would give it ZERO! Purchased a Tektite Strobe 200 from Leisure Pro for marking ascent lines during night/low-visibility dives. First time in the water, stupid thing flooded like many reviews have stated. Contacted Tektite via email (address on their webpage) and the President of the company responded that I should return the item and Tektite would replace it at no cost. I sent it off in early July with delivery confirmation and am still waiting on the replacement. I've attempted to contact Tektite repeatedly via email and have been ignored. My advice on this and any other Tektite product would be: DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

It is very bright, but it does not like to dive. I owned two of them, and each one only lasted one dive (65 ft. and 80 ft.). Do not use for diving.

I ordered three of them in a six month span. One came without inner contacts, and it was replaced. All three of them leaked beyond 20 meters (66 ft.). None of them survived the third dive. Useless for divers. May be used for snorkeling or ground use.

Purchased this to attach to the mooring line on night dives. It worked nicely and was clearly visible. It flooded. At 20 feet. Twice! It did not flood completely, just a good amount of water to fill up a quarter of the battery compartment. Batteries were hosed and leaked acid. We cleaned up the contacts with some vinegar, put new batteries in, and though we were good to go. Double-checked the O-rings and sealed it up before attaching it to the hang-bar. It flooded again. At 20 feet.

Thanks for the great support LeisurePro. First unit shipped and leaked due to an injection molding bubble. Exchange process was quick. The only complaint I have is the phone representative that answered when I needed to get an RMA wanted me to contact the manufacture to return the unit even though it had only be 2 days since I received it. Not very professional in my opinion however this is only the first time having to return something.

Haven't had a cance to test the product in the water, but the light is quite bright at night. The strobe was larger/bulkier than I expected. I guess next time I ought to check the dimensions before I order. That said, the point is to be seen (or to be able to find the strobe) so I cna live with that.

Used it as a becon strobe for night dives. Velco strap attached to mooring line easily. Could see it flashing up to 200 to 250 feet away. Made it very easy to navagate back to the exit point. Would recommend to anyone who is a little uncomfortable doing night dives.

Light had great ratings but had crack lines down the spine of the plastic. [...] I might try a differnt brand to get the same kind of light down there in the dark.

Emits a very bright but the strobe's molded plastic housing is perhaps too thin and not as durable as I'd prefer. Mine flooded, due to a manufacturing defect apparently not discovered prior to packaging. I tested the strobe out of water. My mistake, and, only discovered the problem post dive. Glad I didn't need it. I purchased the strobe to compliment my safety backup equipment. I would recommend this to a friend... however, be forewarned.

Really bright strobe. Too bright to dive with ON all the time. fits in my BC pocket. Its exactly what you want if you want an emergency strobe that will garantee detection on the surface at night. 4 stars because quality of the build and components is not PERFECT but GOOD.
