Questions & Answers

Shopper : is this nitrox ready?darrick c : Hello, yes.
Shopper : what is the diameter of the pressure and depth gauges?HENRY J S : The Tusa 3 gauge is definitely worthwhile, I have dived with it in the Caribbean and it did not let me down it has dual reading in feet and meters psi and a compass to boot. No matter what depth you are at, it will not let you down.DUANE L : 1 3/4 inches (inside) 2 3/4 inches mountedIRVING D : The depth gauge is approximately 2" and the pressure gauge is about 1-3/4". These gauges are not bad. I use them for training and as rental gear. Some of my older tusa gauges have more than 400 dives on them and they keep going and they are similar to these. They are real easy to maintain.
BEATRIZ D : Does this console swivel in order to see the compass? or do you have to rely on flipping it over every time you need to look at different guages?DUANE L : Yes it swivelsJOHN M : It swivels. I used it for about 25 dives this past summer, and it works great. Dials are easy to read.BRANDON H : Yes it swivelsTIM J : It swivels. This is a great analog console. It has worked very well.PAMELA R : I've used this gauge for about 25 dives now. Great multi-function unit and yes the end spins so you can either look at the compass side or the gauge side. YAN G : It does swivel on the hose so you can see the compass. Pressure and Depth on one side, compass on the other.
DUSTIN L : Is the compass removable? Like if I'm being paranoid about TSA's no liquid requirements?KATHRYN S : Tusa refers to the compass as a "compass module" which implies it can be swapped. I fiddled with it a little and it did not come out easily--I gave up, not wanting to bust it. With regard to liquid, I flew with it as carry-on just last week with no trouble--of course, you never know with the TSA. The gauges are very visible and worked well. It was a good purchase.ANDREW S : The compass is encased in the gauge housing and is not removable. I'm not sure exactly how much liquid fills the compass (TSA allows 100mL), but you can always check it in your luggage to be safe. Just make sure it's padded to avoid damage.GUSTAVO P : No, it is not removable. I don't think it would be any problem to take it in the cabin.ROBERT V : Yes, the compass is removable.KEITH Y : It isn't easily removed. You shouldn't have any problems with TSA. I always carry my regs on board.
STEPHEN S : I need recommendations for 3 gauge analog? TY.William R : I think you can’t go wrong with this console. I never even noticed it during my dive but the pressure and depth gauges are large enough for me to easily read. I like having the analog compass as well. I still use a Tusa Element wrist computer but I had rather have the little extra security of an analog console as a backup in case of a failure on my computer. Honestly I would probably just get the two gauge and purchase a clip-on compass later if you feel you need one.LYUBEN P : Good, solid built, a bit bulky, because of the compass. The compass bezel is also sturdy. So, overall I think it's a good value.

Full of water after 1 dive!

Crap. Pressure gauge has sea water in it from only 1 dive. Waste of money.

Good SPG Set

This is a good, basic SPG and depth gauge. My only issue with it is that it came with a low-pressure o-ring rather than a high pressure one and I had to change it out. I would expect it to come with the proper o-ring for going into a high pressure port on a reg.

Great guage, just the right size

Awesome looking guage, has everything you really will need in terms of guages. The temperature guage is more of a gimmick but it's hardly noticeanle and not why I bought it. Inside the house it's 70 and it's showing 60 degrees. But maybe underwater it's more accurate. Mainly I just wanted to say that leisurepros customer service is top notch. I had order this on Amazon first, it came in metric rather than what I had ordered (imperial) due to a listing error. I called leisurepro yesterday and they said they would overnight me the correct guage as I have an upcoming scuba dive trip. I called around 11 am yesterday and 9 am the next day it was already on my porch. I have never seen shipping this fast. Thank you for the awesome customer service!

Gauge not accurate

Purchased this in May 2017 and used it a few times. I didn't really think much about always getting tanks that were at 2700-2800 pounds instead of 3000+ and just figured that they were under-filled. Finally decided to check the gauge against a calibrated gauge and found that it reads low. Unfortunately, it's not repairable or adjustable, and while only a few months out of warranty (and in hind sight defective from day 1), I was told that I'd have to pay MSRP for a replacement gauge if I want an accurate gauge in the console. Given the cost, I'll live with it and now adjust based on knowing how much it's off, but I think the manufacturer should have covered the repair even though it's just out of warranty. Clearly, it was defective.

Poor design TUSA SCA-270 Pressure Gauge

I join the numerous complaints about this Pressure Gauge. After less than 40 dives the gauge flooded on my last dive and I cannot find a suitable Pressure gauge module to replace it in my 2-gauge console!

Perfect

Bought this to replace the metric spg that was given to me. I love this one. The hundreds lines are large enough so no more guessing if I have 2300 psi or 2200.

great product

40 dives with this and no complaint. pretty reliable overall. products in this category seem pricier than i would expect for such low tech commodity items. And it would seem to make sense if they put Metric and imperial on the same dial like cars have Km/Hr and Mph on the same dial- one outside and one inside. crazy to have to buy two because I dive all over the world

Decent, Cheap Console

I have taken this console on ~10 dives now. It works great, the gauges are accurate. I appreciate having a compass built into the relatively low profile design. The openings between the top and bottom gauges are good for securing to a BCD clip. I was pleased to find two extra features I didn't expect: 1. The gauges are glow in the dark and last for some time after charged with a flashlight. 2. There is a max depth indicator to help validate what the computer says... The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star review, is that the overall fit and finish feels rather flimsy. The hose is thin, and the gauge is very lightweight plastic, it just feels cheap. So far, no issues and a great introductory SPG for the price.

Ocean Reef

It is a wonderful product - what a way to dive. Never fogs up and never leaks. The only issue is the nose plugs keep shifting/rotating and have to be adjusted sometimes (which must be done before going in the water)

Quality and Cost

I have relied on Leisure Pro since I started diving. Solid quality products, like this Tusa gauge console. Consistant timely delivery. Consistantly reasonable prices. I may not purchase all my Scua gear from LP but I always check here before I buy. No company is perfect, Leisure Pro by far, comes closer than most.

Good quality and value

A well-built gauge set that's easy to read and should last for a long time. Only minor nit is that the graphics are not quite as easy to read (color coding, etc) as the newer version of their smaller 3-gauge set, the SCA-330.

Great way to get started

Got this for my teenage sons as part of their starter kit. I want them to learn the old fashioned way - with the Navy tables and analog gauges, no computers at first. This fills the bill and looks nice - I can tell that the compass is the same construction and comes out of the same molds as the one included on my $800 dive computer. However, be aware that the compass can be fairly easily jarred out of the boot. My son slipped on the deck and when his gauges hit the ground the compass fell out. It was easy to reinstall and was no worse for the wear. But if your console takes a bump, be sure to check that you're compass is still there!

Nice Console

Nice lightweigt compact console. I like having an analogue depth and pressure gauge as a backup to my computer. The graphics are simple and make gauges easy to read. The gauges are platic, but has a nice rugged boot for protection. It also makes the console light.

2nd time the charm!

This gauge leaked air at the hose to instrument connection the very first time I pressurized it! Leisure Pro replaced it promptly, but I didn't get to use it on a trip for which I purchased it (Back up for my computer). Second one works perfectly.

Great value for a basic 3 gauge pod

The 3 gauge pod works as advertised and having the compass on the back keeps the gauge length manageable. I removed the depth gauge and replaced it with the Aladin G2 as a backup computer. I couldn't beat the cost. The advertised item I purchased was the closeout model from last year. The shipped item was the current new model and that was a pleasant bonus.

Great Console

As with everything else in SCUBA, when it comes to gear, it's all a matter of personal preference. I was looking for a console that had a compass because I don't like taking a heading/reading from my wrist. It feels awkward and a bit confusing switching between computer on one side and wrist mounted compass on the other. The other reason I wanted the compass on a console is because I'm relatively new to diving (just passed Advanced Open Water). Having everything in one spot means you won't forget to check your air frequently. And let me say this gauge works awesome. It's big enough to see clearly in low visibility but not big enough to be a nuisance hanging from your BC (I clipped it to a ring by the zippered pocket of my Tusa BC). Air gauge was very accurate and worked flawlessly. I will say that I never once used the depth gauge because I have a computer (I do not like the computer in the console because it's just too awkward to look at while ascending/doing safety stops). Swivel on the console worked just as well with pressure as without. I also got a few compliments on its appearance (It's Tusa. It looks cool!). About the compass. It's pretty accurate. I did Navigation Adventure Dives and it took me to where I wanted to go. I've used a Suunto and the Tusa definitely feels a bit cheap in comparison. The bezel does have that 'ratcheted' feel, but it's not as stiff as others. This wasn't a problem, but if your a person who cares about build quality the Suunto is a step up. As with any console mounted compass you have to pull it out in front of you and stretch the hose a bit, but again I prefer this as of now to a wrist mount. Overall I really like this console. Everything works, rubber (or whatever it's made from) is thick and I can see it being durable for a week or diving, compass is accurate, and it looks good.

Compact and Lightweight

I received this order within 2 days. I live in Canada so thats really saying something! The product was exactly what i ordered and arived in perfect condition. This is a great little console. I'm using it as a part of my Zeagle rig as i wasn't a fan of the console from Zeagle and wanted something with depth and pressure in one small simple package. I like how slim and lightweight it is which is important to me as most of my diving is done in the tropics. I trust the Tusa brand and while this isn't their top model it will be my best friend until i can get an air integerated dive watch/computer. Then it will serve as a solid backup guage for years to come. I cant wait to get this little guy wet!

Good Gauges

By Joe H.

The gauge console works well and they are easy to read underwater.

TUSA's 3 Gauge Analog Console has a rugged easy to read pressure gauge that has color coded pressure readout for added safety. The gauge measures pressure from 0 to 5,000 psi. The 0 to 500 psi section is colored in bright red to denote reserve air, the 1,000 to 5,000 psi section is color coded in blue. Pressure gauge is also equipped with a thermometer measuring temperature from 0°F to 100°F. The gauge is incased in an impact resistant boot with eyelets for attachment of a lanyard or clip. HP hose is 7/16" threaded.

The depth gauge measures depth from 0 to 200' and is also color coded for safety, with a blue color from 0 to 60' and red from 100' to 200'. The 10' depth is also color coded in red for minimum safety stop depth. Gauge is equipped with a maximum depth indicator that will follow the depth needle to the greatest depth reached on the dive and then will remain there to indicate your maximum depth. This feature is helpful when logging dive information providing key data for repetitive dives.

Many divers take compasses for granted, considering them just an accessory to their overall gear set up. Trying to navigate with a poorly designed or improperly functioning compass can be one of diving's more frustrating events. The back-mount compass is liquid filled for a smooth, fast reacting compass heading. Compass is equipped with both top and side scan reading for gun sight accuracy. The ratcheted rotating bezel has compass headings in 30° numbered increments and indicator marks for every 10°. Bezel has twin heading indicators for alignment of compass course, and a lubber line across the compass face.

TUSA is the first company in the world to incorporate Lumi-Nova light storage dials. This groundbreaking innovation offers several times the brightness of conventional dials, as well as longer luminescence times. The entire face glows bright enough to make it ideal for night diving or diving in dark areas but contains no radioactive materials.
