What was given me was a small quarter sized corrective that was glued to each side. Just having spent 2 weeks scuba diving and snorkeling in Tahiti I can tell you that for me the correction was worthless. So be very careful you know what your getting and that it will work for you.JOHN T : I think this is referring to the lens prescription needed to correct your vision. Lenses are available in “plus” +1.0 to +4.5 or lenses can be “minus” -1.0 to -8.0.ALEX G : It has to do with the prescription. "Plus" lenses mean lenses in the + range for close-up correction. Plus lenses are what you'll find in reading glasses. "Minus" or "negative" lenses are those in the - range which correct for distance.
KENDALL G : Since the lenses were not installed in a mask I'm thinking they don't need to have a toothpaste or Softscrub pretreatment. Is that right? I found them easy to install myself.ERIC S : I used SeaBuff to scrub my lenses and it worked great. I assumed the lenses might have some residue from manufacturing, but don't know that as a fact. Scrubing gently certainly won't hurt.JOHN T : You shouldn’t need to treat your lenses with any abrasive products. Yes, the Splendive adult combo set (UC-7519) will work with these lenses. I installed these lenses in 2 masks from the Splendive combo set and they fit perfectly.DAVID S : I bought the Splendive 4 mask separately so I don't know if the combo set mask is the same. You better check with TUSA before buying the corrective lenses.

Easy Installation, A World of Difference

If you're reading this, you probably already want corrective lenses in your mask, so I'll spare you most of the rants and raves I'd like to give these. I am nearsighted and these corrected my vision perfectly. They are fantastic! But on to the more important point: installation. The lenses arrive in small cardboard boxes, and there is no left/right indication. For a while I wondered how the same lens could work for both left and right mask windows. Then, I rotated one lens about 45 degrees and it hit me. Pretty smart design. The actual installation is a breeze. A quick search will bring you the official Tusa installation instructions, which are pretty easy to follow. I had a little trouble popping the first clip out because it is above the nosepiece and under the skirt of the mask. Eventually I got it with a precision screwdriver. The rest pop out plenty easily and the plastic piece that holds the lenses in place pops off. A quick push with your thumb pops the lenses out. Pop the prescription lenses in and follow the same instructions in reverse and you have a prescription mask! Personally, I installed my lenses in a Tusa Geminus mask that my LDS had for sale at a heavily discounted price. It's definitely a no-frills mask, but it serves my purposes just fine and is comfortable to boot. So far, no leaks with my mask and corrective lenses, so can't give it anything less than 5 flags!

easy mask upgrade

The lenses were incredibly easy to install. My mother saw a huge improvement when snorkeling. The only minor problem is that I had to install -1.5 lenses because they don't carry -1.0 lenses. TUSA should extend their RX range.

WORKS BETTER THAN EXPECTED!!

I HAVE A STIGMATISM AND THESE LENSES DO NOT CORRECT CORRECT THAT. I WAS VERY PLEASED TO FIND OUT THAT THE LENSES ALLOWED ME TO SEE UNDERWATER JUST LIKE I HAD MY NORMAL PRESCRIPTION IN THEM, AT A SMALL FRACTION OF THE PRICE!!! THXS TUSA AND LEISURE PRO!!
