Questions & Answers

Shopper : I wear a women's 7/euro 38, so I'm on the fence between extra small and small. Any thoughts on how these fit with 5mm boots?darrick c : Hello, since your boots is a 5mm thickness, I would go with the size small.
HAROLD S : How much do these fins weigh?LINDA A : I’m wearing size S, and while I don’t know exact weight, I will say they are quite comfortable in the water without any noticeable heaviness. And I know heavy...dove with Bio Fins for years.DONALD I G : The weight is for size medium.DONALD I G : 2 lbs per fin.
Shopper : How long are these fins in a large size?Mario C : thank you for your question. This fin in the L/XL size has a total length of just under 25''
Shopper : Can these Hyflex Switch fins be used for snorkeling as well as scuba?SCOTT S : These fins are great for the surface or underwater. You should use boots with them, since it is an open heel design with a strap. The sizes are considering that you will have a boot. You would need to get a little smaller than normal if you only plan to use a sock. Also great for travel as they can be taken apart and only takes up half the space(fits in most carry on size bags).GORDON B : Yes, but you need to have booties on. Ankle Booties will work fine, or get get full foot fins.FARSHID T : I have never used it for snorkeling. But I can’t imagine why you won’t be able to. It maybe an overkill if that will be the primary usage. But awesome diving fins. The best I have ever had.Donald Z : I’ve used them both diving and snorkeling and found them to be great. Much less leg fatigue and easier dives when snorkeling.Justin P : Yes. You can use these for either SCUBA diving or snorkeling.LINDA A : These are open heel fins, so you need to wear booties with them. I use them for scuba, and think they’d be fine for snorkeling, too. Very flexible and good power with kicking.BRENT W : Yes, they can. But, you will probably want to wear boots with them...as that is how they are designed.Stuart S : Yes they can. Great fun!!KENNETH Z : Absolutely. I’m guessing you are interested in the travel feature of being able to take the fin apart to put in your luggage? If so, then probably worth it. For just beginner snorkeling though, definitely a bit expensive. Also, this fin fits better with a scuba boot on.J R : Yes they can, but they are relatively stiff and you'll need booties as they would not be uncomfortable to wear in bare feetSTEVEN S : Quick addition, they are open heel fins, means you need to wear booties/aqua shoes with them, not just slide your foot in.ART V : yesSTEVEN S : 100% yes. Very light, very powerful.
THOMAS P : I wear a men's 10.5 narrow shoe and will be using 5mm boots. Should I order a size M, or size L/XL in the Tusa Hyflex fin?JEFF G : I think I would go with the L/XL. I am a size 11 and also wear 5mm boots and they fit fine. I think the M may be a bit snug.ROBERT H : I wear a 7mm 10.5 boot and I use the large fins.Donald Z : I would go Medium. I was in the same situation and went Large because of dive boots. Had to exchange for Medium and still tightened up the straps. Fit perfectly now.SCOTT S : Either size should fit. Depends a lot on the sole of the boot... The strap is adjustable, so you should be able to make it comfortable on either size fin.FARSHID T : I wear 9.5/10 depending on my shoes and I bought a large size fin with 3mm boots. I adjusted the straps myself to the smallest size and I don't have any problems with them being loose. So based on that info, I think with 10.5 shoe sizes and 5mm boots, I would go with a large size fin. You will love the fins. I couldn't be happier with them.10022 1 : My only advice is to inform you that they are heavy and do not propel as advertised. I have sold them after 2 dives.JYHLIN C : I wear man's 8.5. I have size M with TUSA 5mm boot. I just took a look at my fin, the size M is good for shoe size 7-10.Maiwenqian A : I wear 3 mm men's 9 diving boots. M size TUSA Hyflex Switch Fins just fit. I think you might need size L/XL.JAMES K : I am an 11.5 and wear a 2mm low cut shoe. I have them on the smallest setting. The length is good but I have a bit of room around my foot in the toe box. No issues with them falling off just a bit of room. I think a 5mm boot would fill it. My best guess is the M would be the right one.NICK C : Both M/L works. The fin is adjustable to 3 settings I have size 10 with 5mm boots and bought the L. I adjusted it to the smallest setting on the L. A friend got the M with ~ the same measurements, and he adjusted the M to the largest setting.ROBERT R : I'm afraid i can't help. I ordered medium because my foot is a 7 EEEE....but it works. BobStuart S : I’m a 10, use 2-5mm boots and dry suit boots. Medium works great! Found the large gave side to side wobble.ART V : I got medium for size 10 foot

Love love love

I love the pull style heel straps versus ones that you have to ratchet down. Easy to pack. Good power and maneuvering underwater.

Tusa Hyflex Switch fins

For the price you pay for Tusa Hyflex switch fins its worth it in my opinion. Had alot of compliments in Scuba training. I like the option you can take disassemble the fins from the boots for traveling or repairs. The fins have a different form of angle from the rest of the fins. I will be putting them to the test in Cozumel in 3 weeks.

by far the worst fins I've ever used

These have to be the worst fins ever. If I could give them zero stars I would. I used them one dive and was thankful I brought my old fins with me for the remainder of my trip. These fins are no better than what you would use in a pool doing laps... they have no power what so ever, it was like I had nothing on. The actual fin is very short and has no stiffness to it making it worthless in the water. Leisure Pro allowed me to return them as "used" (one time usage but ok...) so I'm in the market for something else now and will have a very hard time believing the reviews on the internet as every single one said these were the best thing EVER... yeah no...

Great fin!!

Have used these fins for over a year. Perfect! Previous fins gave me leg cramps every time, not these.

Awesome fins!

The best fins by far. I’m diving with a torn meniscus. The fins make it easier for me to dive with and less effort needed for finning. Amazing thrust when diving against current. Would recommend it especially for those with knee problem

Lightweight and comfortable but underpowered

I felt the fins were slightly underpowered. It would be difficult to use them for bucking a current or to get a quick burst of speed. Straps were easy to use but only had 6 positions for tightening or loosening.

Tusa switch fin

Liesure pro has great prices and fast shipping. I travel with a carry on bag only. My fins were the biggest challenge in packing. This fin changed that. I can now get all my scuba gear and clothes for a week at a tropical paradise in a carry on.

Great solid product and great service from LeisurePro, but...

Great service as always from Leisure Pro. The product looks solid and beautiful. I plan to use it next Month in March. The only feedback that I have is that I found the changing of the strap size to be difficult. The instruction was there. However the instruction did not mention if after removal of the strap one finds the opening of the cap difficult, use a coin to pop it open. I was afraid that I was doing something wrong and I am damaging my new product. I went online and found one video on youtube that the guy could open up the cap easily. However noticed many comments below that people where struggling the same way as I was. So use a going to pop it open and the rest is easy. Can't wait to use it.

Not what I expected . Potential danger.

The fins are very small and no good for open water diving. If you get into any current you have very little ability to control your position or to go against the current. For this, it make these very dangerous fins in my opinion .

In Cozumel now using these fins

Very good fins. Comfortable, cuts through current with ease and power. These are my new go to fins. Added bonus that it breaks down and fits in carry on luggage. No more worrying about lost gear in delayed or lost luggage.

Comfortable travel fins

These are my 8th set of fins. I've been plagued with a problem in getting a comfortable fit in a decently sized pair of fins. These were great- I've just made a dozen dives with them and have had no issues. They are small enough to fit in a travel carryon even without disassembly. And the strap is genius- so easy to slip on or remove, but it stays secure. Good power and control too.

The TUSA Hyflex Switch is powered by PuRiMaX Polyurethane Blade System". The Polyurethane blade provides a quick snappy" response to the diver's every movement. TUSA's unique Vortex Generator" effectively reduces water resistance through the fin stroke normally found on traditional smooth blades. The Vortex Generator consists of six (6) performance ridges positioned behind the blade vent reduce resistance, creating a smoother and more efficient kick cycle. TUSA's Multi-compound foot pocket increases power transfer to the fin blade. The TUSA Hyflex Switch is equipped with the new universal bungee strap providing extraordinary comfort. The heavy duty elastic fin strap provides easy donning and doffing of fins. The quick adjustment accommodates five (5) adjustable positions. Fin strap is equipped with a large extruded rubber heel cushion with large finger loop for easy donning and doffing.

Angled Blade Design (A.B.D.): A standard flat fin inhibits propulsion solely by fault of design. An angle between the heel of the foot and the calf of the leg remains when the leg is extended to kick. This angle causes approximately 10% of the propulsion to be lost. The Angled Blade Design accommodates for this anatomical characteristic and ensures maximum efficiency throughout the kicking cycle. TUSA Hyflex System for a compact and lightweight travel package. Fin is available in multiple colors and sizes.
