The Oasis features innovative Moisture Retention Vanes that effectively capture exhaled moisture and return it upon inhalation, eliminating cotton mouth during your dive. The large diaphragm and purge cover ensure easy breathing, and the diver-operated Venturi control allows for easy adjustments.

The first stage of the Oasis is a dry, environmentally sealed design with no gels or liquids, maintaining a clean interior. Sherwood's unique dry sealed spring and flow-by piston balance the air in the first stage, ensuring excellent breathing characteristics at any cylinder pressure. The marine-grade chrome-plated brass construction ensures durability and longevity.

The regulator remains virtually uncontaminated from salt, sand, or chlorine, thanks to the dry seal function. With two high-pressure and four low-pressure ports, the Oasis is a workhorse first stage regulator. Its tee-shaped design reduces profile when mounted on a tank, minimizing contact with the back of the head.

The second stage of the Oasis features a large diaphragm and exhaust valve for optimal inhalation response and decreased exhalation resistance. With its dependable downstream demand valve design, high-impact glass-filled polyamide housing, and venturi adjustment lever, the Oasis is a top choice for any diving enthusiast. The Prestige is a mid-size octopus with a stylish design, strengthened by technology to give steady, natural and effortless breathing. All Mares second stages are a reliable downstream valve design and offer the unique patented Vortex Assisted Design (VAD) system. The air bypass tube conveys air to the mouthpiece creating a swirling vortex with a low-pressure area in the center that keeps the diaphragm down during inhalation, for very sensitive and easy breathing at all depths.

Furthermore, the compact and ergonomic exhaust tee ensures superior hydrodynamic performance and reduced exhalation resistance. The mouthpiece is made of soft hypoallergenic silicone: limiting jaw fatigue and offering a secure fit even after very long dives. Mares Octopus Prestige incorporates the Fluid Dynamic Deflector, developed after in-depth studies and tests of fluid dynamics, is engineered to receive and properly direct the airflow from the bypass tube to the mouthpiece. Combined with the VAD system it delivers very natural and effortless breathing. Mares developed the Superflex hose after many years of testing and research. The results achieved far surpassed the tests required by EN250. Hose is extremely light weight and exceptionally soft, guaranteeing the maximum freedom of movement and further reducing jaw fatigue. The regulator comes with a high visibility yellow cover and Superflex hose that is a 3/8" threaded high flow hose and is 39.4" (100cm) in length. The regulators total weight is 13.33 oz. (378 g). Regulator is nitrox ready up to 40% oxygen out-of-the-box.

Mares, has always paid special attention and devotee's its self to ergonomic design. The material used in manufacturing Mares instruments boots, are highly shock resistant elastomer to protect the gauges accuracy, and affords a secure grip in every situation with any type of glove. The compact pressure gauge with its durable brass case and techno polymer lens has a luminesce dial for easy reading in day or night diving situations. Face of pressure gauge is color coded for safe air reserve in a glance.

Pressure gauge has 0 to 5,000 psi readout with a safety reserve 1000 psi color coded in red to allow the diver to know that they are low on air. The 2000 psi to full scale is color coded in blue. The pressure gauges 7/16" UNF neoprene jacket double braided high-pressure hose has a 360-degree swivel and is 36" (90cm) long. Gauge is nitrox ready to 40% oxygen out of the box.

This very accurate oil filled depth gauge reads depth from 0' to 230' and comes equipped with a maximum depth indicator needle (MDIN). The MDIN is pushed by the gauge depth needle until the diver meets their maximum depth. The MDNI will remain at the maximum depth reached for the duration of the dive to indicate the diver's deepest depth reached during the dive. This feature allows the diver to not record that depth while diving, yet will be available upon surfacing for later calculations for repetitive dives. Depth Gauge is color coded for easy and safe reading at a glance. Depth Gauge has a 0' to 230' readout with a safety red color-coded section from 0' to 30'.

The compass is oil filled for a quick and responsive movement. Dual magnets give faster response and with a maximum working tilt angle of 20-degree ensures accurate compass headings. A ratchet bezel with compass headings in 10-degree increments and 30-degree indicator marks. Bezel has twin heading indicators for alignment of compass course, and a double lined lubber line across the compass face. A side window with compass degrees allows gun-sight accurate use when precise headings are required. Compass card is luminescent for low light conditions.A The impact-resistant boot has multiple eyelets for attachment of clips or lanyards to keep the gauge close at hand and from dragging over the environment.
