To answer your question, I don't know for sure about the combos you are suggesting but I have a Sherwood Octopus and an Atomic Aquatics first stage that work great together. I think my brother has a Sherwood Octopus with a Scubapro first stage but not positive. I have mixed other brands before and never had a problem but you might want to call a scuba store near you to talk to them. I have done that before but have still purchased from Leisurepro because they usually have a better price. Good luck.JUAN P : YesKEVIN G : I don't see why not. It is standard threaded. My whole reg set up is the Sherwood brut and this octopus is identical to my primary except for color. I bought them separately, and it went together perfectly. Heads up- I occasionally have free flow conditions with this octopus, especially if it's been dry for a while. But all in all- a great reg. Excellent Octopus

If you're not in the market for and adjustable regulator, this one is well built, breathes well, and looks good. Great features and construction, built to hold up and has a better look/feel than you'd expect for a rental grade regulator.

Totally Predictable

My son and I both use this octopus with a Sherwood Brut regulator in fresh water. These combos are not perfect. They sometimes free-flow as we enter the water. We simply hold them mouthpiece down and they have always stopped right away and have never malfunctioned at depth. We have confedence in this gear because it has always been predictable. Almost any dive shop can rebuild them for you, and there are lots of rebuild kits out there. Overall, this is a good product for the money.

Great Sherwood

I purchased this regulator to use as an octopus but found I almost liked it better than my primary. I had heard that Sherwood is a workhorse that never quits and I see now what that means. It works great and keeps on working. It is a nice easy breather also. I had a good experience as usual working with Leisure Pro too.

Sherwood Octopus has been totally redesigned to provide outstanding breathing performance. The Octopus maintains dedication to rugged reliability combined with ease of maintenance. This octopus has been the overwhelming favorite for rental applications for decades because of its simple reliability. Regulator has a large diaphragm for optimal response to inhalation with a precision ground stainless-steel cam and Delrin lever for smooth effortless breathing. The valve mechanism is a dependable downstream demand valve. The regulator is equipped with a large quality silicone exhaust valve that decreases exhalation resistance for easy breathing.

The Sherwood Octopus has a high impact resistant plastic housing for rugged applications. The low-pressure seat is resilient silicone rubber for extreme reliability. The low-pressure hose has standard 3/8" threads with a 36" (91.4 cm) length. The Hi-Viz soft purge cover makes identification of the octopus regulator easy in an out-of-air-emergency.
