Shopper : Does this mask cover all depths without affecting color, or do you need different colors based on depth range?RONALD Y : I have been down to 150 feet without any change in color.JOHN N : Sorry. I haven't been deeper than about 10 feet. The color and clarity was consistent at that depth (but than was in Hawaii and that water was extremely clear).CLARENCE J K : The mask alters the natural colors at all depths. It allows more natural colors to be perceived at greater depth, but at shallower depths, it enhances the red hues.CAMERON S : I believe there aren't different options for different depths that you generally would dive at. It simply provides a slightly different filter for whatever depth you are at, so you may see colors slightly differently, but obviously the deeper you go, the less light there is overall, so everything will become more muted.

Also is this a prescription lens mask with the filters??CAMERON S : My husband (who has a mustache) has used it, but he often has problems with masks. It's no better or worse than others he has used. It is not a prescription mask, just has tinted lenses (to make the fish prettier). I don't know whether prescription lenses can be added.DIRECT D : I have a moustache and it fits nicely above stache, I haven't used it while diving with my moustache, but I think it would be fine. My mask has no prescription, I'm not sure if that's an option. I use contact lenses.DEBRA W : Have no idea. Not a diver. It was a giftNORMAN V : Hi Martin, good questions. 1. I have found that depending on how thick and/or course the mustache is you may be able to use this mask. It's best to be clean shaven however, tightening down the head straps will help significantly. Also try and keep the upper portion of the mask seal under the nose in contact with as much skin as possible. That will also increase chances for a more secure seal. 2. I can't really answer your question regarding perscription lenses although, I don't see why it wouldn't. The filters certainly contribute to the color spectrum range. Hope that helps.LARRY A : Yes it does work with a mustache. It can be pursched with prescription lens.KYLE D : Mustache would probably be okay, though a thick mustache will cause issues with the seal of any mask. The filters are similar to camera filters, bringing out sharper color at depth. They don't affect prescription. You'd have to check with the manufacturer to see if they can make prescription lenses, if that's what you need.

Fills with water, but nice vision

Definitely better vision underwater, although colors aren't fully clearer. The mask is comfortable but constantly fills up around the nose, no matter how tight or loose I have it. I think that's because I have somewhat small features and the mask is on the bigger side. Not sure if I would buy it again, or if I will continue to wear it.

Still Making Great Masks 25 Years Later

Great Mask. I have a 25 year old Sea Vision mask with the colored lenses. It was finally time to retire it. I purchased the 2100 with the magenta lenses and could not be happier. Same great quality 25 years later. Colors are crisp and clean at depth.

Best mask I own.

The only part of this mask that I personally do not like is the head strap. Easily fixed with a different kind. My face is narrow, no other mask fits like this one. Plus I love the dark glass.

Loved it!

I loved it! Got it about a month ago and today was my first time using it. I will never go back to clear masks. This was amazing! Sure, it will not last forever, but if I can get 2/3 years out of it I'll be the happiest customer ever. My face is more on the oval side, if that helps. Not too big, not too skinny

Okay mask... not at full price!

We dove with a marine biologist a while back who was sporting a tinted mask and the notion was just so obvious!!! I'd been looking around for one since and found this one on sale. The quality feels about right for a $50 mask and I'm sure it will do an okay job. I would have felt I had paid too much if I'd paid full price for it though even at LP's usual low retail. So, okay mask for what I paid - can't wait to use it on my next trip!!! LeisurePro shipping and service were phenomenal as usual.

I've owned one before. Color filters are a must for nonilluminated photography. A color filtered mask is a no brainer. Oh! so that's the color of (fill in the blank) YOu mean its not all blue? ;-)

Bad Fit, Poor Customer Service

Mask has small silcone skirt; frame touches the forehead and causes a bruise. Contacted SeaVision about bad fit and was told improper fit is not covered under warranty and I would have to purchase a new mask.

OUTSTANDING FIT AND VISION

Purchased these for me and my wife. I decided long before completion of OW certification that I would get these. Better than the one's I used. My wife loves 'em because of the silicon around the mask which were far more generous than the mask she had for OW Cert which kept on leaking and loosing it's seal. The lens color, as advertised, makes vision more vivid with respect to colors.

Great product, priceless with glass lens

I really love the color correction but they could have supplied a larger strap like their other models. The smaller strap does work however. Just be very careful with the lenses, they are plastic and it only takes once of not protecting them in the hard case supplied. Mine got scratched on the inside by my plastic snorkle of all things. I only wish I had been warned. The anti fog that is included is the best I have used to date.

Not leak proof.

I bought this mask because of other reviews on Leisure Pro, but was dissapointed when I got to use it first. The mask does leak when used on sureface (snorkeling) and at shallow depts. Gets better as you dive deeper and can adjust the pressure. It fogs up too, and I used the defogger that came with the mask and a professional diving paste (500 psi). It's not too bad, but I did have to clean it underwater. Did not have this problem with my bodyglove mask.

What a great idea to color correct a mask. It is like diving in a new ocean. The blue cast of the water is filtered out yet everything else looks natural. On the surface the tint is barely noticable. Remember your first pair of really good sunglasses? You will feel the same way about this mask.

The Sea Vision 2100 Mask has all the features you expect to find in a quality dive mask. The double feathered edge black crystal silicone skirt and wide split strap combined for a comfortable and perfect seal on the face. The mask has a one hand easy to reach nose pocket for ear equalization that even works well with thick gloved hands. Mask is designed to fit a wide range of faces, fitting divers in a weight range from 60-240 lbs. (27.2 to 110 kg). Mask is a low volume design and provides excellent peripheral vision. easy adjust buckles make adjusting the mask strap a breeze.

The Sea Vision 2100 Mask incorporates a unique lens design using CR-39 hard resin, a light transparent plastic polymer material common in the manufacturing of eyeglasses. It has high abrasion resistance, in fact the highest abrasion/scratch resistance of any uncoated optical plastic. The Use of CR-39 in the manufacturing of dive mask lenses allows color to be introduced to improve the ability to see the true colors at depth without introducing artificial light (dive light).

The 2100 Mask has magenta lenses designed for use in waters where colors are more rich and vibrant (i.e. coral reefs). This unique product is designed to filter out blue wavelengths in the water, allowing your eyes to see the brilliant reds, oranges, yellows and green colors that are lost as a diver descends. For example, at a depth of 25' (7.6 meters), red is no longer visible to the naked eye. At the 75' (22.9 meters), yellow looks greenish blue, because the yellow light has been absorbed by the water, the Sea Vision Technology adjusts the color bands to allow users to actually-see and enjoy the colors there in front of them. Included with the mask is a Free 2 fl. oz. (59 ml) of Sea Visions Defog Spray a non-toxic and non-abrasive defog product and to protect your mask a protective mask box.
