I just returned from my first trip with this bag and it proved to be one of the most useful items I took with me. The main thing is that the fins fit comfortably in the bag and there was still room for the other necessary dive gear. If I had to make any suggestion it would be a larger compartment for stuff you might want to keep dry. It was hardly a problem however, and the ability of the wet items to drain was far more important since I could always include a dry bag for my other cloths. This bag was easy to transport as well. I consider it a good purchase.

This product is just the right size and has back pack straps that make it easy to carry. I use it e sry week for my diving equipment. My last stahlsac lasted 7 years. I expect the same or better service as it's stronger.

This was a gift from my daughters to their dad for father's day. We just had a chance to use it and loved it. It's strong and fits equipment well, dries quickly too. I might request one for myself

Took this to Mexico for a week snorkeling. Packed - fins, 3mm wetsuit, snorkel, mask, rasher, hat, towel. Dry side had 2 cameras, shirt. Small front pocket for keys and glasses. Sturdy, easy to organize. Perfect!

Holds all my gear and I can easily carry as a backpack. Best dive bag I have ever had and I have tried a few.

I purchased two Stahlsac products. The zipper on both the products broke on the very first outing. Oddly enough the zipper on the suitcase wasn't even used. It just broke....

bought 2 of these bags in 1992 and have used them for a lot of dives and for snorkel adventures. I have loaded them up with as much as 60 lbs ea and they handle the weight and bulk quite well. I am dissappointed that after 22 years my bag has started to fray and looks like it might give out someday and that I am having to buy another one.

My spouse and I each have one and we pack them in our big gear bag when we travel. Then we just pull the stuff we need for each dive trip, shove it in the Stahlsac and go. I don't have to worry about weight or bulk or stowability, it's all good. It would be an improvement to have a couple of smaller pockets or dividers in the bag so everything didn't just fall to the bottom in a pile. The long zip section is a big help as is the front pocket, but more is always better.

This is a great bag. Large enough to get a full set of equipment in, including bc. I love the fact that I can throw it on my back so that I can carry other stuff.

I bought this bag to essentially carry my dive gear to and from the boat for diving and for fresh water cleaning of gear within the bag. Upon receiving the bag from leisure pro, the cinch locks on the drawstrings were broken. Not a big deal. I went online and bought new set of cinch locks that were better (heavy duty) than what the bag came with for cheaper than it would have cost to send the bag back. For a week in Cozumel, I carried my dive gear, which included everything but the tank, from the hotel to the boat and back again. The straps were comfortable and bag was easily able to hold everything. Love the inside pocket, which runs the height of the bag. It was good to store my rashguard shirt and shorts, as well as a towel. The mini mesh bag was handy for carrying my spare fin straps and watertight case for keys. So far, I am not disappointed in the bag.

Get dive bag to take on a trip. This is the third one that I've purchased. The last one was a birthday gift for my recently certified daughter. We'll both be packing one with our gear for an upcoming dive trip to the BVI's.

It's perfect for me. I didn't want anything super big and bulky to carry my SCUBA gear in. This is the perfect size. Durable and easy to clean.

We will give it a workout this April...and again in Oct, Nov, and Jan. It seems big enough to hold both my Zeagle travel fins and my wife's shorter fins, together with with masks, snorkels, and a towel.

[...] Removed bag and size is great and the pockets really are nice as well. I did find the clip that holds the draw cord tight to be broken. Trying to get that replaced but the bag in itself seems to be a really good bag.

Great mesh bag, much more sturdy than my old one. Has backpack straps and a quality feel to the construction. Not flimsy at all, I highly recommend it.

My wife and I both keep our snorkeling equipment in this bag, and there's plenty of room. The shoulder straps are great to keep your hands free while heading to the beach. We also use ours on the boat. With weekly usage, this bag lasts us approx 3 years here in the Virgin Islands. At this price, its a great deal.

I like this backpack and took it with me to Bonaire where it was fine. However, back home I put a little too much weight in it, and the shoulder straps are not sewed with strong enough thread and one of them pulled out in the middle, rendering that strap useless. I sewed it back myself with stronger thread and, hopefully, the backpack is back in business. Sure, put your regular gear in it...but don't include your weights. 20 lbs total is okay, but if you put in 40 lbs of stuff, you might be asking for trouble.

Great bag that holds fins, mask, wetsuit, BC, regulator bag. Separate dry pack within the bag for clothes, towel, etc. Back pack feature is perfect. Durable and well made.

ONE OF THE BEST THINGS I HAVE PURCHASED
By JON W.
This is one of the best things I have purchased for carrying all my snorkel and day gear. I was used to hauling all my gear around in a mesh carry bag (handles only)and it was always awkward and tired up one of your hands, we hike over lava flows and lots of uneven ground to get to the best spots, and you really need both hands free in these cituations. This bag fixes all of that and now have it all on my back. It holds all my equipment, a towel, underwater camera and dry clothes. You could p...

Lots of room

I purchased the Stahlsac Panama Mesh Backpack after looking over many reviews for similar products. I've only used it once, but it fits my BC, weights, regulator/octopus/pressure gage, fins, booties, mask, snorkel, extra mask, 2 bottles of Gatorade .... and I still had room. The straps are comfortable. There is a small bag in the front held closed with velcro that I used for my sandwich and a snack. There is a zippered pouch on the inside of the back running the full height of the bag tha...

The Stahlsac story is simple. More than 40 years ago, Emil Stahl immersed himself in his craft and set out to construct a better, stronger, more durable watersports bag. Adventure is what moved him, compelled him, so he labored until he created the world's toughest and most versatile adventure luggage for travelers and watersport enthusiasts. Fast forward, and today Stahlsac stays true to its founder's vision. Stahlsac's community of adventurer's travel through all conditions-warm and cold, wet and dry-to the farthest reaches of the planet. With every corner of the earth they inhabit, they need a bag that can get them there. Stahlsac is the world's highest quality travel bag-from travel roller bags and mesh bags to a completely waterproof adventure line. Stahlsac means Steel Bag in German, and that's as simple as it gets. True to their name, Stahlsac construct bags as tough as steel, so travelers can Go Anywhere.
Whether you travel hands free or simply need a bag to transport wet gear from one place to another, Stahlsac has a variety of mesh backpacks and duffels for any amount of gear. Tough, snag-resistant mesh and 420 denier nylon pack cloth with reinforced bottom, and thoughtfully placed wet and dry pockets and other logical solutions, keep your gear organized. With different colors and sizes to choose from, we have a tough, dependable mesh bag for any situation that holds everything...except water.
Stahlsac Panama Mesh Backpack is a great travel destination bag. The nice thing about a mesh bag is it allows you to bring your travel gear bag when security is an issue, and once you arrive at your diving destination you can transfer you gear to the mesh bag and use it instead of getting the travel bag wet. This feature also gives you the option, at the end of the diving day, to submerge the entire bag into the wash tank on the dock or resort and rinse you gear while still in the bag. After rinsing simple hang, the bag up and let your gear drip and air dry, ready for your next day of diving.
Stahlsac Panama Mesh Backpack is the original design features two high density foam padded shoulder straps, extra durable polyester mesh, top and side grab handles and Stahlsac unique zippered dry pocket inside combines with a wet pocket outside. The bottom uses reinforced 18-gauged PVC nylon. The Panama Mesh Backpack measures (H x W x D) 28 x 15 x 15" (71.1 x 38.1 x 38.1cm), has a volume of 6,300 cubic inches (103.24L) and weighs 1.5 lbs (0.68kg) when empty. Bag is available in multiple colors.
