Excellent Buy

Wasn't looking to upgrade to an air integrated computer but the deal is very much worth it. Extremely easy to use with great features. Fantastic for recreation diving and extends fairly into tech diving as well.

so far so good

So far all is good with tank pod and eon core combo. I only have 6 dives on this computer so not a lot to say about it yet. the computer and pod act exactly like you see in all the you tube videos. I will say the digital compass is sweet compared to standard compass for casual navigation. it does not bounce around. I will try to remember to do an update in a year. I am happy with the purchase. my old zoop novo is very basic in comparison. I am a recreational diver. I don't see myself ever on a tech dive. It would likely do well in that role.

The Tank POD is Great !!!

Simple to set up and use. Set up your D5 to use a Pod (again, incredibly simple to do). Install the POD on a HP port on your 1st Stage and connect the 1st Stage to a tank. Turn the gas on. Respond to the pairing request on your D5. That’s it !!! The D5 & the Tank POD are forever paired. Nothing else to do except dive. I heartily recommend getting a Tank POD fro your D5 or EOD.

The Suunto Tank POD Multi Transmitter for EON and D5 (see SKU: SQTES, SQTD5) allows you to quickly and easily view your tank pressure from your EON wrist computer. No more reaching aimlessly for a tangled up pressure gauge. The multi transmitter is a wireless tank pressure transmitter that works similarly to a Bluetooth device you use with your smartphone. With the new Tank POD and EON computer you can seamlessly connect up to 10 different transmitters for multi tank diving.

Suunto has reworked their pairing procedure. All you have to do is pressurize the system and hold your EON close to the Tank POD for pairing. An easy guide menu will show on the screen displaying the Tank POD serial number, battery status and tank pressure. The Tank POD provides a labeling field for multi tank/POD use and is transmittable up to 6' (1.8 meters) maximum. Additionally a green blinking light on the Tank POD will illuminate when paired and transmitting. Transmitter POD is powered by a user replaceable 1/2AA 3V lithium battery and comes with a user guide.
