The connection doesn't work very well but eventually I was able to download previous dives. This is the only accessory I am aware of that will allow you to download you dive profile from the Suunto Vyper.

Works as advertised, just expensive. That said, I tried a third-party cable that sold for much less, and it didn't work at all.

It was exactly what I had expected and arrived ahead of schedule.

Quality is a bit lacking but works as it should and had no problems with software with windows 10. I gave it four stars because of quality but as stated, it works as it should. If your looking to keep a digital log and want to make it easy to upload your logs, this is for you and it works well with the Suuntu logging program. The only issue I have is that the log is only in metric and doesn't have an option to change to Imperial measurements

Pretty much unusable. The connection is so insecure that any bend in the cable pushes the connector off of the dive computer contacts. I tried rigged a bunch of systems to hold it in place. Couldn't even keep it touching long enough to download 50 dives. Spent 2 hrs doing this, with failed attempts anywhere between 2% and 90% through the download due to disconnection issues. If that wasn't bad enough, the cable is outrageously priced for an item that should come with the purchase of a several hundred dollar dive computer. The cherry on top was when I called Suunto customer service for a Zoop that had a sensor failure... the solution was for me to check the latest firmware. To do that you need to connect the dive computer to your desktop or laptop with the cable... which I guess they just assume you bought?!?! And it doesn't even stay connected anyway? Absurd.

This should be included by Suunto. Very expensive for a wire. Cheap construction

This is my 1st wrist computer. Had to call support to find out what I was doing wrong. It was a simple fix then all downloaded well. Instructions are poor at best if you haven't had a dive computer before but are better than others. I've found that you need to determine what beep are telling you when on a dive. Other than beeps I can't find any designation what the beeps mean. So far the downloaded shows that they were for rapid assent.

Bought this cable to use with a used Suunto Vyper dive computer. Hooked it up, downloaded the USB adapter drivers from Suunto (Windows couldn't find them on its own), installed and rebooted, and it started working. Just had to figure out that I needed to put the dive computer into the proper mode to initialize comms with the PC, and I was able to pull off all the old dives. So now I have a nice empty memory to store my own dives in.

I bought this cable for use with my Suunto Zoop computer. The cable works fine, and reliably connects the Zoop to my laptop. To use the cable, you will need to download DM4 from Suunto's website. Beware that if you're using a Windows 7 machine, this may not be easy. DM4 requires the installation of GTK. Nothing on Suunto's website was helpful, but once I emailed Suunto, they sent the link below. After installing GTK, the DM4 installation went smoothly. https://movescount-dm4.s3.amazonaws.com/gtk-sharp-2.12.21.msi It also took a little research to find the right mode for the dive computer to transfer log data to DM4. There is a "PC SET" mode that the computer must be in to transfer the data. Once in that mode, the log files transfer automatically. The video below shows the process accurately. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4oTIdlIznE

Works as described. Clicks onto my Cobra and plugs directly (USB) into my mac. I downloaded the software from the Suunto website for my computer, launched the program, plugged in the cobra into my mac and a few seconds later all my dives were downloaded and graphed. Within the software you can enter all sorts of personal dive info. Very cool. Also, it will display the serial number of the cobra (needed for registration).

Very easy to use, just download the DM4 (or D4M, cant remember) program from Suunto, put your dive computer to PC (Im using a Cobra and Zoop (backup)) and this one dongle works on both.

No instructions, have to download SW from Suunto website. Trial and error to get the computer to recognize the Zoop. Once I got it wokring it was fine. Still would have liked some step by step directions.

I bought this to use with a Suunto Zoop. The connection is a 90° angle, but the plug end is way too long and does not plug into the Zoop securely. I have to hold the plug and Zoop secure with one hand while using the other to use my mouse or keyboard. Very difficult. Maybe it fits one of their other computers better, but it is very clumsy to use on a Zoop. However, it is your only option.

I use the Suunto Zoop. When I plug this in, there is a large gap between the computer and the plug that allows the plug to move around. I have to hold both the plug and computer a certain way to maintain a connection. Major pain to use.

I did not experience the looseness in the connection that some reviewers noted. I have a Cobra and the connection of this cable seems positive and more than adequate. The information from Suunto about how to get this up and running is quite sparse and is my only complaint.

This is the 3rd cable I've bought (from various sources including some DIY). All of them suffer from the same problem which is that you really need to push on the cable connection to get good contact with the dive computer. I think this is mainly a fault with the design of the Suunto connector, rather than the cables. In addition, it's quite easy to stop the transfer if you have the DC on its face on a hard surface and push the select button on the DC. BUt, all in all, this cable seems to be made a bit better than the rest and is probably worth the higher price.

If you own a ZOOP you need this...it is made for your Suunto by Suunto and you can't beat the price or the additional warrenty

Cable easily connected to my Cobra Dive Computer and downloaded into a secondary dive program I had to purchase. Description that this is a kit you purchase and showing a disc in the picture is deceptive, you only get a cable and have to buy secondary software to use it.

Does what it is supposed to do. I haven't had any issues with it not being able to connect although I've only used it for 10 dives so far.

I purchased this to download the dives from my Suunto Vyper computer to the Suunto DM4 dive software for my mac. The only issue is getting a good connection to the computer. It's rather awkward but once it does get a good connect it downloads perfectly.

I like to track the data from my dives. Calculating SAC is not hard with a Suunto Cobra dive computer, but it takes time. With the PC download kit acquiring detailed data from the computer takes less than a minute. Depending on the software you use with the download kit, data such as SAC rate, temperature, dive time, dive profile, etc. are all downloaded and available for your analysis.

not a bad product but, without any documentation, it took a while to connect. If it doesn't find your dive computer after 5-10 min, try reversing the connector.

It's great and easy to use. Just plug it to your dive computer and conected to the PC and your dives load up after a few minutes. It downloads all your dive information. Time, Date, Water Temp. I love how it shows a graph of the dive and recommendations. Plus has a spot to write notes about the dive. Easy to log dives.

If you like the idea of having a copy of your dive log on your PC to review & annotate, the Suunto Dive Manager & PC connection are great products. All in all, they worked as advertised & are great additions to your dive gear. I did have a little trouble initially getting connected to my Suunto Cobra dive computer , but that was my fault because I didn't realize that the Cobra needed to be in "data" mode before it would react to the PC connection. I guess I was expecting a USB "plug and pl...

Writing in a log book is time consuming and if you don't have good handwriting illegible. Log books are small and difficult to fill in the blanks. The Suunto USB Download Kit is for uploading logbook dives to a PC/MAC in order to optionally store and organize the data, compute statistics, simulate dives and personalize the logbook file. Rather than filling out the logbook, just print out your log sheets to prove your diving experience. The USB cable enables you to connect your dive computer to Suunto DM5, available for PC and Mac. Compatible with Suunto HelO2, Vyper, Vytec, Vytec DS, Vyper Air, Cobra, Cobra2, Cobra3 and Zoop. For Computers see SKU's: SQTVWC, SQTVCW, SQTCBCWC, SQTCBC, SQTCBC2, SQTCB3CQ, SQTZPWBK, SQTZPC).
