jean-fançois b : hi there. my son bought me this knive. Do you have a suggestion how to install it on a CQR avid 3 bcd ? Was thinking of punching small holes in left side pocket and fix it there with the kit taht came with the knive. I do not want to goof tough... thxCATHERINE W : I have installed this knife exactly as you have described on several bcds. I use a hot ice pick or something similar to make the hole. Melting the edges of the hole in this manner prevents fraying. Good luck!JAMIE C : I would invest/use a riveting tool with stainless rivets to ensure a secure installation. This is a very good knife in my opinion. Will be worth the effort.
Adonis B : How to sharpen the seaquest titanium tanto blade?YAN G : Sharpen it just like any other knife. Ceramic sharpeners work well.
Shopper : What leg straps are recommended for this knife?ANDREW D : You could use any rubber straps. However, there are multiple ways to attach this to your BCD or backplate and wing that make access with either hand quick and easy. Love the knife. My favorite dive knife and I've had several over the years.
Shopper : What's the difference between the Squeeze Lock Knife, Blunt and the Tanto tip?Steve S : The blunt tip is exactly that. It is flat and there is no real tip. The tanto tip has a sharp tip on it.ROBERT M PIERCE I : The blunt tip has no sharp edge on the end.The tanto tip has a slight angle and a sharp edge.MALCOLM K : Blunt is like a flat blade screw driver, good for prying or using the tip of the knife for a tool (the cutting sharp edge is behind the blunt tip), On the Tanto tip I like the idea of the cutting edge of the knife comes all the way out to the point but it does not have a pointed tip like a conventional knife so I feel I am less likely to stick myself or my equipment with it. I looked around before replacing my old dive knife this one seemed to suit me the best, the Titanium is light and doesn’t rust and holds a sharp edge which is nice if you actually need a knife underwater (no way to sharpen it down there), the size is perfect to put on your BC shoulder strap and the squeeze lock is secure but is simple to release if you need your knife. I now have 2 of these I liked my so much I bought the wife one.LUKAS S : Blunt is like a chisel, sharp but flat (90 degree angle to the main blades). If you're clumsy it helps avoid BCD/drysuit punctures. The opposite is a drop point/stiletto, the standard pointy knife best for quickly dispatching fish (i.e. freediving). Tanto tip splits the difference. Originally used for fighting knives, the tip is cut at a 45 degree angle to the straight blade, allowing for a longer slice with straight edge, still has a point, but less likely to accidentally puncture. I find it the best compromise and am very happy with the SMALL Wenoka tanto squeeze lock knife. Definitely go titanium, and no need for a big one. However I also carry scissors as main cutting tool for cutting line, they come out a lot more than the knife.PATRICK H : The Blunt tip is completely flat where as the Tanto has a slight angle. I selected the Tanto for my BC because it does have a edge on the tip where as he Blunt tip does not. If you select the Tanto tip and are using this as a BC mount you do need to pay attention when returning it to the sheath.TODD F : The tanto tip actually has a sharp edge on the flat end of the knife. I have the tanto, not the blunt, so I am guessing that is the difference. I have been very happy with this knife. If spearfishing, though, I switch to a pointed tip knife.
Jean-Pierre F : Would this knife fit my Scubapro Go bcd?Steve S : Yes it will. It comes with the mounting hardware.

Good BC knife

I have gone through a lot of BC knives over the years. The knives always outlast the sheaths. This sheath is well designed, and has lasted over two years, a new record for me.

Great Knife!

This is the perfect dive knife. Getting it in Titanium is a good idea because even stainless will rust after a while. The clip works great and it is built very well. You dont need anything longer because most of the work done with your knife is done in the first couple inches anyways.

Great size, east to use, no rust

I wear this knife on my waist belt, where I can reach it with either hand. It's never in my way. I used the stainless steel retaining screw to keep the scabbard attached and haven't had any issue with it. Very sharp blade that's been forgiving if I forget to take it out and dry it after fresh water dives.

Great little knife

Great little knife, fits perfectly on my Zuma BCD. Snug and secure. Scabbard is not cheap, the bolt isn't a locking bolt but it's secure. I don't envision and problems.

Cheap scabbard

Nice knife. But the scabbard retaining screw heads popped off the studs, all within 5 minutes of a shore entry dive. Almost lost the knife. I have a scuba pro BCD with the knife grommets on the pocket. Since the scabbard bolts are just pressed into their heads they popped off. Have since reglued the heads to the bolts and will be getting stainless washers to keep the load off of the plastic heads but rather on the bolt head.

Excellent Quality

I recently had to replace my poor worn out BC (hate getting new equipment) and selected the Aqua Lung Axiom BC. It has grommets on the left side pocket area for mounting a dive knife/tool. In searching for a durable (as in titanium blade) knife I came upon the Wenoka Titanium knife, which shows that it can be mounted several ways on a BC one of which is by the use of grommets. Got the knife and it works perfectly with the Axiom mounting grommets. Very nice product.

Fits grommets on SCUBAPRO Seahawk

I didn't see any reviews about this knife fitting the grommets on SCUBAPRO BCs. I justed wanted to note that it fits the grommets on my Seahawk perfectly. The squeeze lock keeps the knife secured extremely well.

Great knife. Titanium so will never rust. Lots of cutting surfaces, and not huge. Positive locking mechanism makes it great.

Fits Aqualung Dimension BCD Perfectly !

Based on previous comments written here I purchased this knife for my Aqualung Dimension BCD. It fits the grommets pefectly. I no longer need to wear a knife strapped to my leg. I purchased the titanium version over the steel to avoid rust. You pay more of course, but I think its worth it. Wenoka has always been known for their great knives.

Nice small dive knife

Great dive knife. Not so large that it gets in the way. Handle is good size. Only drawback is there no metal cap on the handle for banging on your tank to get your buddies attention. Other than that a good buy for the money.

Excellent product!

I own several of these knives, one on each BCD. I have tried other knives, but always come back to this one. Easy to install, small enough to stay out of the way but still large enough to be useful, fairly inexpensive, and I have never had one break.

Great little knife

Barnicle bolts work well. (Have a Black Diamond BC), I haven't tried this knife with gloves yet. Sharp! Lock mechanism holds great, easy to release and to return to sheath. Knife is smaller than i was expecting it's a positive for me.

Great knife

This is a high quality knife, very solidly built with a great sheath that locks the knife firmly but easy to get out of sheath. This is the kind of product I want when my safety or one of my dive buddies safety needs a sharp, solid knife to cut line or cable.

Very nice knife for watersports

I bought this knife to attach to a strap on my PFD while boating. Hung upside-down, it is utterly secure in its sheath because you must squeeze the grips to unlock it from the sheath. It is very simple to do this, and one needs only one hand to squeeze and yank the knife free. The blade has both serrated (good for cutting line or straps) and straight blade areas, and the knife is quite sharp. It seems to be a very well-made, cleverly designed knife. The blade is a tanto style, a good compromise between a blunt and pointed tip- it can serve as both. My only criticism, and it is a small one, is that the "yellow" knife only has yellow squeeze grips, while the sheath and balance of the grip is black. I would like to have seen the entire knife colored yellow for better visibility.

Great Knife

Very nice knife. It comes with multiple mounting options (hose attachment, or can mount on your BC, or you can buy optional straps to mount on your leg). The knife has a very positive lock system that clicks into the sheath, so there is no worry about it coming lose and losing it. It is also the perfect size (not too big, not too small). Extremely sharp double sided blade. Would purchase again!
