I wouldn't use it to tow behind a boat, but we have used floats tied to our boat just for floating around. Shopper : Does the nylon protective skin cover under the actual seat, or is it just on the arms and back of the product. I want something that will take a beating from rocks on the river bottom when for when I drift into shallow areas. What is the seat made of?gary don l : Not good at all for river floating in shallow water. I have over 30 of these and float the frio river every year. It has shallow areas that basically rip the existing cordage material that it comes with, I have come up with a skid plate solution that works very well and have not had any issues since.JOSH M : The Nylon protective material convers the entire float execpt under the seat. Under the seat is a string/cloth mesh. The seat is a separate inflatable chamber covered in the nylon protective material that can fold out for an extended foot rest. When I used my float on the river and came across a shallow part the string/cloth mesh got ripped a little from the rocks.LINDA S : Yes it is totally coveedr in the canvas material. I bought it to go rafting down the Rifle River near Standish.MIYUKI S : It does cover it, except the seat area. It's a mesh seat, so if you go over rocks, it will drag over rocks. The seating area will keep your area vulnerable. The trekking tube is a better tube.
Shopper : Can this lounge hold an obese person? How wide is the sitting area?MARY Z : The measurement of the seat area is approximately 20 inches. My husband is 6 feet tall and weighs 210 and he says he has plenty of room. I am 5'3" and weigh 155 and I can sit in it and curl my feet up in it. We like the lounge very, very much. Hope the quality of the material (which at this time seems to be very good) holds up to the test of time.
Dennis M : Can the foldout lounge portion be detached? I'm afraid with the lounge portion tucked in it will sit up too high out of the water making it difficult to climb on. ThanksJOSH M : Unfortunately no, the fold out part does not detach. It does fit nicely tucked in, doesn't sit too high.

Extremely happy with this lounger. This is the second one we have purchased, the first one lasted three seasons in a pool, Before finally wearing out. Very comfortable, very flexible with respect to how you can lay in it

Awesome Lounge Floaters!

These lounge floaters are awesome! We really enjoyed them at the river and pool! We also like there flexibility with the foot part. Would definitely purchase again!

Best Out There

After much research, this lounge is the best available. Not perfect, but quite good. Very comfortable, allows multiple lounge options. Expect it to last two years with frequent use. Will wear out in places after, especially the netting. Cover does not fit perfectly, and partially covers the cup holders. hard to move fabric. Overall, a good item.

These are GREAT. We have 4 and we are always recommending them to folks that float by us on the river. A number of folks we have recommended these to have purchased them and are as pleased as we are. A great product!

Exactly what I wanted!

This chair turned out to be used for lounging and rough use by my older boys. It has a great fabric to lounge on and a high back for neck and head comfort. You can use the flip out part deflated even, so you sit lower in the chair and your legs are in the water. I use a small plastic paddle to get towhere I want to be in the lake. I love it!

Great lounger

I tie off to the pontoon and float for hours in it. The main chamber inflates fast. The extra effort in the sewing of the float is noticeable. The backrest is adjustable so you can customize it to your likeing. It takes up a lot of room on a boat if you don't deflate it, like a sport tube does.

Great Product 3rd one

It will only last about 2 summers. Unless your more diligent about rinsing it off from chlorine and keeping it out of the sun. But I figure thats more work than it's worth. We get two full summers out of each one and usually get 2 every 3 years.
