The original little trolling motor that was specific to this boat didn't require a mount. We upgraded to something twice as powerful and the motor mount was necessary.JENNIFER L : I used my motor mount on an inflatable 4 man raft. i put the brackets in the raft holes. Worked great just make sure you keep your inflatable pumped to lock in the brackets.
