The lamps have a life expectancy of 35,000 hours w/color temperature of 5000° to 6000°K, color rendering index of 70 and a battery charge time of 170 min. The light has Auto Flash Detection Mode that turns off light for 2 seconds when external flash is detected. Auto Flash Detect helps eliminate undesirable shadows, color shifts or backscatter. Light has a burn time of 60 minutes at 100% power, 120 minutes at 50% power, and 240 minutes at 25% power.

The Sea Dragon 2300 Auto has a feature that preserves your underwater eyesight and battery. Select auto-brightness feature as one of the 4 brightness options and the light's photocell light sensor will automatically regulate brightness based on proximity to the object in 10-step brightness levels; look at something close like gauge or computer and the light will reduce to 10% brightness output, look at a long distance and light automatically adjusts to full power. This feature can be easily over-ridden if a constant brightness level is preferred by selecting 100%, 50% or 25% Brightness thru-main control button. Light has an effective range of 4' (1.2 meters).

Wide, 100° beam angle (75° underwater) perfect for DC2000 camera, light operates with only a single button, quickly adjusts between 4 power options, and is depth rated to 200' (60 meters). The Sea Dragon Flash provides powerful lighting to bring out amazingly bright colors in underwater photos. Reducing backscatter and eliminating shadows flash is universally compatible with all underwater cameras with an internal flash and standard tripod mount. Variable power adjustment and large controls make it easy to fine tune brightness, while leaving the flash in auto mode automatically adjusts brightness for optimal exposure. Quick-release buttons detach flash head for aiming in hard to reach areas. The flash has a guide number of 20m full power and 1.5m on low power. The power adjustment range is 8% to 100% in auto or manual modes. The controls are power (on/off), test (program) and brightness (manual/auto). The flash coverage angle is 80° horizontal x 60° vertical and 100° with included diffuser. The flash has a color temperature of 5700° Kelvin. The flash is powered by 4 AA batteries (NiMH recommended), batteries not included, and will provide 150 flashes per flash. The flash recycle time at less than 1/2 power is 1-second and 5-seconds at full power.

Flash has an effective range of up to 8' (2.5 meters). The flash is negatively buoyant and is durably constructed from fiber-reinforced polycarbonate with marine grade stainless steel hardware.
