Shu Fly Four Piece 9' Fly Rod with Rod Sock and Tube

The Shu Fly Four Piece 5 weight Fly Rod is an IM-8 graphite rod, has a progressive moderate medium taper. The cork handle grip is made from AAA material and the stripping guide is a double wrapped epoxy coated Fuji design. The rods double foot snake guides are black coated stainless steel and the tip top is oversized. The rods reel seat is a hardwood insert and the rods butt is machined from aluminum. The rods recommended fly lines are weight forward 5 floating or 5 weight double tapered*.

The rod comes complete with its own identifiable rod sock and matching black embroidered Cardura carrying case. The rod measures 9' (2.74 meters) assembled and weighs 3.5 oz. (99.2 g). All manufacturers weigh their fly lines, and the measure of weight used is grains (there is 14 grains in a gram, in the event you didn't know this well-known fact). The smaller the number, the lighter the fly line is. And conversely, the bigger the number, the heavier the fly line will be. Fly Line Weight 5: The "all-around" trout fisherman's line weight.
