The material is great and the product looks good but following the size chart recommendation seems be incorrect. I found it difficult to put on so I stretched it on the back of my office chair. I can now put it on but I would probably die trying to take it off! I did manage to get if off but you'll need someone to help you so make sure someone is there to help you.

Fit was correct but the feel of the material on my body and the seams in my armpits was intolerable. I absolutely hated the piece and sent it back. It may have just been my build, but the armpit fold was so uncomfortable on my skin I took it off immediately after first donning it, and filed for a return within 10 minutes. It seems very well constructed and the material seemed like it would be extremely durable. The shape and feel of the material just weren't for me.

It is comfortable and warm. It does not “stretch” like neoprene. That is neither good or bad, just a fact. And the sizing runs on the big side. I thought XL from my measurements, but a L would have fit better. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

Ok product. Runs small so you need to buy larger than you normally would. But then it stretches out before your first trip is over. Warmth is good but fit is poor due to the immediate relaxation. Not as good as Lavacore if you can find that product.

I have two of these shirts one for my son and the other for myself. We just got back from Cozumel where we did 6 dives wearing only these shirts and swim trunks. Neither one us were cold. We did 3 of our dives to 85-100 feet. Not cold once. They do run a little small or tight. We ordered the next size up and everything was fine. Money well spent. I would not dive without them now.

Wear under wet suit and drysuit. A little hard to get on for the first few times until it gets wet then they will stretch a bit making it easier to get on and off... Go an extra size the chart told me XL so I went 2XL- and glad I did.

I got 4 pieces, women's top and bottom, Men's top and bottom. The product does what it says it does, it does keep you warm, it is neutral. I actually love the material, I would love the whole thing if it fit better. Now that's it's been in the water, I guess I can't return it. My wife tried a size 6 (she normally wears a 12) and it was all we could do to get it on. On seeing this I order a xxl (I am normally an xl) so we sent the 6 back and got an 8, for my wife,, this looked and felt like what she needed. I tried on the xxl and could barely get my shoulders in it. Now fast forward until when we went in the water, all of a sudden, they stretch and bag out. I wish I had on the XL, and my wife the 6 tops. The bottoms, I usually wear an L, and that's what I have. None ever fit for the length, so I live with that. My wife is wearing a 6 on bottom. The ideal way to size these would be to soak them in the bath tub first and get them good an wet, and now try them on. I'd love to have an XL top, but at this point, after using it on a dive trip, I don't feel like spending another $140!!! So buy the product, just try it on while it is good and wet!!!

I own a lavacore top and was happy with it but it always had a strange odor after diving. I'd wash it in mirazyme but it always came back. Sharkskin doesn't seem to have that problem. As compared to lavacore they both function pretty much the same, though sharkskin has a tougher shell and nice neoprene collar. I assist open water scuba classes in a pool at 78 degrees and with just the top and I don't start to feel a chill until the 2 hour mark. When I dive dry, I'm good with my 4mm neoprene drysuit, sharskin top and bottom in 42 degree water. As far as fit, I'm 6ft, 220lbs, 44 chest, 37 waist and a 2XL fits good. If not for being little snug under the arm pits, I could have gotten a size smaller. It has a lot of stretch. It also dries very fast turned inside out and does keep you warm on the surface even when wet.

I am 5 10 BMI 24 I wear a size 40 jacket The medium bottoms are perfect. Med top wouldn't get over my shoulders I can't the the large on by my self I am hoping 3rd time is the charm with XL It is to go under a dry suit so I don't want it to feel like a 7mm wet suit. Nice and soft, stretchy, and comfy otherwise.

I've tried both: Sharkskin and Lavacore and, while the Sharkskin definitely wins, I still get cold diving it in warm water. Specifically, it doesn't appear to hold your body heat the way a wetsuit does. As a consequence, I still use these fleece solutions in summer months while diving warm climates like the Caribbean but recently purchased a new wetsuit for use in winter months.

Great shirt to be used as an intermediary warmth for diving or waterskiing besides a wetsuit jacket. Functions similarly but not at higher costs. I stayed plenty warm on cool dives at 60 deg F

I layer this under my 3mm wetsuit for diving when water temps get a little chilly. It provides extra warmth without adding buoyancy. The fleece lining is very comfortable and overall it dries pretty quickly once it off water. Sleeves have thumb loops to help it stay in place while putting on wetsuit and it doesn't ride up at the hips. Love it! For reference I'm 5'4" 110 lbs and got the xs (us02 aus08) which fits perfectly (snugly). The only con I would say is it's quite hard to put on. If you have a larger chest I would imagine it might be quite a struggle.

I bought this to help keep me warm while snorkeling in the Caribbean. I am sure it would do the job, if it fit. I followed the size chart to order, and while it fits in the torso, the shoulders are way too tight for comfortable swimming. I would order the next size up, but the arms and torso are already a bit too long on this size. This is why I said it's made for tall, thin women (as long as they have significant bust-size).

Sharkskin is one of the best to put on your body to keep warm and gives with your body ! Love it !
Sharkskin Chill-Proof Long Sleeve Shirt by Bare is 100% Chill-Proof Material and is great as a standalone garment and suitable for under a wetsuit. By itself or underneath a long sleeve wetsuit this top provides the ultimate protection from cold and wind. It has a soft neoprene neck seal to help keep wind, water, spray and waves from entering. The long sleeves offer additional protection from the cold and sun and the thumb tabs (loops) assist when pulling a wetsuit on over the top. The long sleeve design provides the best protection for extreme conditions on-or-under the water.
Sharkskin Chill-Proof Material is an aquatic specific, windproof 3-layer composite material that has been developed for water sports athletes. The comfortable 'micro fleece' layer is next to the skin and 'wicks' moisture and sweat away from the body to help keep you dry. The second middle 'technical' layer is 100% windproof yet breathes to regulate body temperature while stopping wind chill. The third outer layer is a nylon/Spandex blend for abrasion resistance and 4-way stretch. It is also UV resistant for sun protection and has a durable water repellent finish (DWR) to provide a protective shell that 'sheds' water. Sharkskin Climate Control Chill-Proof is neutrally buoyant, anti-microbial, odor resistant, itch resistant and machine washable. The shirt is black in color and available in multiple sizes.
