This BC worked OK for a little while. I had it about 4 years and got about 130 dives out of it before the inflator hose snapped off the bladder. Two different Scubapro dealers surveyed the damage and said it could not be repaired, which means the entire BC, minus small salvageable spare parts, is now landfill. That is a terrible design flaw; you would think with the advanced state of SCUBA technology, the company would be extra careful to design a bladder socket with a solid inflator hose attachment that wouldn't easily corrode and snap off through normal wear and tear. What a waste.

Bungee cord holder broke in less than a year. Velcro cummerbund keeps slipping out of it's loop. Had a Super hawk NT (made in Mexico) did 3,500 + dives before i had to change it. This Seahawk i'm using while bite the dust in a few months. MSDT

As long as the right dump pull cord is not hung up on the shoulder strap the BC works wonderfully

I do lots of diving & teach diving, it's a GREAT BCD. I love back inflate, has lots of pockets, & D-rings. I'm 6'1", 220 & should have bought L instead of XL. It's WELL worth spending the extra money and getting a GREAT BCD!

I've used it on @ 50 dives so far in warm Caribbean waters as well as the "cool" waters in the Northeast. BC performs well and has a lot of usefull features.

The Seahawk is a great BC.I use it for all kinds of diving. I love the pockets for keeping lights and gadgets. The only problem I have ever had is the deflate pull on the shoulder got wrapped around the shoulder strap in Cozumel while putting it on. It deflated every time I tried to add air to my BC.I know what to look for in that situation so it doesn't bother me at all that it happened.i have about twenty dives on it now and love it.

I am 5'8 and 185#, 34" pants size, got a M and adjusted it as bit as it goes. It fits well and is comfortable but I'd probably get a Large if I had it to do over again. I can wear with any wet suit but there is little extra strap adjustment left and the cumberbund is adjusted as big as it can go, but still have full overlap on the belt, it works perfect but there is no extra room to "grow". I got it on a closeout and this was the only size left, I am 100% happy.

If I had to complain about anything it would be that the adjustment straps are too long. The waist/belly strap is very long and dangles. This could possibly be a snag hazard if your not careful. For me this has been a great BC. The comfort and features are perfect for me (a recreational diver). I was constantly making minor adjustments with my old BC both in and out of the water. Save yourself some time and hassle...just buy the Scubapro Seahawk!

I've used it on @ 50 dives so far in warm Caribbean waters as well as the "cool" waters in the Northeast. BC performs well and has a lot of usefull features.
A robust and comfortable back flotation jacket that integrates numerous performance features to deliver outstanding comfort and easy handling. The Seahawk BC is a recent, award-winning addition to Scubapro's family of dynamic, comfortable back flotation jackets. The Seahawk allows excellent freedom of movement, excellent swimming position, and provides plenty of storage, a great choice for dive masters and instructors. Back flotation technology positions air bladder in the back, providing exceptional freedom of movement around chest and shoulders. Streamlined air cell technology and automatic volume control of air cell through compression straps provide a low profile throughout the dive. Rotating Quick Release shoulder buckles and adjustable shoulder straps, adjustable sternum strap and waist strap with cummerbund all improve fit. All these straps are equipped with squeeze-style" quick release buckles for easy donning and doffing.
Soft neoprene neck roll and plush back pad provide skin-friendly padding. Ergonomic harness incorporates anatomically-shaped components to allow for even load distribution. Quick-release integrated weight system offers more comfort and convenience. Pouches accommodate 12lb (5.5kg) each. Two rear trim pockets counterbalance front weights and provide a well-balanced swimming position with 10lbs (4.54kg) capacity. Built-to-last from 1000-denier nylon outer bladder and 420-denier nylon inner, with urethane laminate interior and radio frequency (RF) welded seams for maximum resistance to punctures and abrasion. The BCD provides 54lbs (24.5kg) of lift in all sizes.
For proper buoyancy control the Seahawk BCD comes standard with Scubapro's Balanced Power Inflator and has a 3-dump deflation system that enables divers to dump air from a variety of underwater positions. In the up-right position you can use either the left-or-right shoulder pull-dumps with the right shoulder pull cord or the left shoulder integrated cable activated power inflator shoulder dump. When inverted in the water the lower right rear pull dump can facilitate buoyancy trim. Scubapro's Balanced Power Inflator provides a high inflation speed, especially at depth. Inflator has different shaped inflation and purge buttons for easy use even in extremely low light or murky water conditions. Storage and attachment of accessory items is easy with the two large zippered cargo pockets, knife attachment grommets and 4-pre-bent and 2 standard stainless steel D-rings. The Seahawk weighs 8.0lbs to 8.43lbs (3.62kg to 3.82kg) depending on sizes. BCD comes with a 3/8" threaded low pressure quick-disconnect hose, owner's manual and is black in color.
