CHARLES F : For anyone that has used both the ninja pocket and thigh pocket, which do you prefer and why?STEPHEN A : I have both and the thigh pocket Is roomier and easier to access than the ninja pocket.GLEN B : I have the thigh pocket and use it for all the extra gear I do not want to put in my BC. I even attached my knife to the front of the pocket for easy access.JOHN T : I have and use both. The thigh pocket is larger and mostly its easier to access.Gary P : Only used the cargo thigh pocket but picked it over the Ninja because of greater volume storage.

The ninja pocket is difficult to use. It’s great to have for things you want to carry but may only use in an emergency. But it’s difficult to put thing back into the pocket. I hardly use it. The cargo thigh is easier but it pulls on the bcd because it’s tethered to the thigh. I use it only when in need specialty gear for a particular type of dive.

I picked this pocket over the larger one as I don't always need a pocket on my dives and don't always know when I will need one. The best thing about this is that you can roll it up and out of the way until you need it, barely even noticing it's there.

Scubapro Hydros Pro Ninja Pocket

Awesome addition to the Hydros Pro, I dive a lot and have two Ninja Pockets mounted on my Hydros Pro BCD and I love the easy access. Furthermore, their tuck away appearance when not in use. If you purchase the Scubapro Hydros Pro BCD you will differently want to add at least one Ninja Pocket...!! Now post dive and maintenance extend the Ninja Pocket so it will dry with the BCD then tuck away after drying.

Good construction

Eh,... it?s good. It?s a pocket. Only things that don?t thrill me about it is that most of the time (while diving) it takes two hands to buckle the pocket closed because the top buckle is not firm enough to stay in place while buckling one-handed, and I wish there was enough room or adjustment with the buckle system so that?s some thing fairly small could fit in the pocket with it rolled up most of the way so that the pocket is not fully extended hanging down just to hold something as small as a pencil inside of it.

Works but needs imporvment

Works, but for me needs some improvement. Clip to close. The female clip side would be better on the pocket body, not the flap. When trying to close pushing into the female the flap it is on has no bracing. Almost have to use 2 hand. Velcro or zipper might be better and easier to work with personally. Shorter depth and wider would also work better. I am 5'9". My wife is 5'0". Pocket too deep for her to access easily and it is a stretch for me.

Handy accessory for the Scubapro Hydros Pro.

Great idea, good product. Wish it was wider. If it had been a couple of inches wider I'd have rated it a 5. Easy to install and out of the way when rolled up.
