Shopper : I bought an extra color kit so I can switch colors when I want to. Do I need a specific tool to be able to do this on my BCD? It's not as easy as it claims to be.Mar G : Just an Allen key 3mm in size and maybe look for the way to do it on YouTube the first time ;) it’s pretty simple actually!KEVIN F : You do not need a tool. It does require a bit of muscle though to pry the pocket covers off the nub. It's a snug fit, but no tool is required.

No tools included- shame on ScubaPro

Requires an allen wrench and a special multi-pinned tool the remove and replace the screws in order to change these plates. I had the allen but had to jury-rig holdin the special pin nut with a pair of needle nose pliers. Installion and removal tools should be included. Otherwise it's a great product

A design that's hostile to customers

These Color Kits are simple for what they are. They let you change the accent color of your Hydros Pro BCD to match the rest of your kit. However, removing and installing these Color Kits is needlessly more difficult because Scubapro felt like using a cheap plastic bolt that doesn't have a standard head. Scubapro sells a tool that makes turning these bolts easier, but the tool does not come with the Color Kit. It is possible to jam some tiny needle nose pliers into the bolt holes, but you'll inevitably end up marring the bolts when you do that. This design is hostile to the customer. Instead of these cheap, custom, plastic bolts, Scubapro should assemble these with off the shelf binding screws that have a standard Philips, slotted, or hex head on both sides so that customers can replace these with tools they already have.

A fresh new look.

I changed the color from black to blue and it gave the BCD a fresh new look. It was easy to install but you need to have the right tools.

Nice upgrade to my Hydros Pro

I've had my Hydros Pro for a couple of years and decided to add a color kit. Really pleased with how it looks now. Fair warning, there are no instructions on how to install it but go to YouTube and there are a couple of good videos on how to do it.

Nice upgrade

I enjoy the extra vis my buddy has to stay together. On the con side it ships with no instructions and you need a special tool to install and ScubaPro doesn't sell them to the public therefore i had to take it to a dealer.

You got yourself the new Scubapro Hydros BCD (see SKU's: SCPHPM, SCPHPW, SCPHPM2 or SCPHPW2) and want the pocket panels that it came with to match your Scubapro Seawing full foot or open heel fins (see SKU's: SCPFFSN, SCPFSN or SCPFSG).
